About the Northwest Overland Rally
A gathering of people who always say they want to get away from people.
It's actually pretty fun, obviously overland based, but a lot of good classes on vehicle recovery, navigation, medical stuff. They have an area where you can drive your vehicle through a small course with instructors giving guidance. A good place for people to learn their vehicles. Usually quite a variety of vehicles. Some designer mall crawlers with every expensive addition they can find, but also a lot of well thought out functional vehicles too (as evidenced by the members here who attend). There's various trail rides in the area, but they're usually not too tough. I'm leading the ones up to Sugarloaf, it's a fire lookout. First year I've had the 4Runner but I've taken it throughout the area a few times so it'll shine.
