My father bought one in June and he LOVES it! He bought the V6 with AWD. It has the Avalon V6 so it has plenty of get-up. It rides really nice, has a ton of room in it and is very easy to drive.

I`ve worked on a few venza`s so far! The fit and finish and quality that`s in it is just crazy! The venza can EASLIY complete with the lexus line and the other luxury cars! Its just too much like a station wagon for my tastes to

Wow, this is really good to hear!! I sure hope that Toyota has tightened up quality controls on these new designs! Good to hear!

That is great information! The wife wants a bmw or merc but I'm trying to steer her towards one.

I sat in one last week that the stealership was stupid enough to leave unlocked at night. I was quite surprised at how roomy the car was. This one was a tricked out version with the leather seats that were incredibly supple.

My only complaint was that the headlights seemed to be low in power - but I am used to driving the Runnah with the Xenon bulbs so I could not tell if that was why it seemed so dim.

I am thinking about bringing the Mrs. to test drive one.......We'll see.

Yup. I do it all the time. Or I go on Sunday when some are closed.

A lot of dealers stupidly leave their cars unlocked, so I can check it out at my own pace without some slimy salesman hanging over my shoulder. Plus, I can see how the car feels at night, and - as I mentioned - how the headlights seem. Some cars are different creatures at night.

No different than me wanting to test drive the vehicle when it is snowing. Don't advertise an AWD/4x4 and then tell me you won't let me test out the system in the crummy weather.

I don't doubt it. I can see where that would be a problem for them. LOL.

Another thing I like about doing this is that when I want to buy a new car, I am going to dump $30,000 on it. I want to make damned sure that I like the truck or car. So I want to fiddle with it, see how it feels, how comfortable it is, what the fit and finish is like on a variety of them. So I go to the dealer a bunch of times, occasionally while they are open, and sit in the car and mess with it a bit. Then, if I like it, I'll drive it.

Hell, I must have gone to a Toyota dealer about 70 times before I bought my 4Runner to make sure that I liked it more than just on the outside. My wife was getting pissed at me because I would always stop. You gotta see how it feels, and I don't like the salesmen always breathing down my neck about this and that and trying to learn every personal detail using their psycobabble to get a freaking sale.
