I went to OBX last weekend and here are some pics.

I didn't air down my runner and it was no problem at all. I would say driving on the sand it's just like driving on the snow. But the downside is you have to clean it up after driving on the sand. I was suprise how much sand there under the truck!

For the one who is planning to NC trip this summer, drive slow after you pass the state line. I got a ticket for driving 68 on 55 zone which is normal speed in VA. The ticket is $140 which is $80 more if you get it in MD!

ah.......just want to tell anybody who is going to NC for the 1st time. I just chat with my buddy he used live in VA beach. He said that NC has really strict traffic law. You will get pull over even 1 mile over the limit(he got a whole brunch tickets there)......no wonder all the driver drive under the limit there!

I learned my 1st NC expensive experience!

we got pulled over during a Celica meet one year down beyond KIll Devil Hills and the driver got a must appear for 10 over.

I set the cruise at 5-8MPH over the limit and have never had a problem with cops in NC. I make the trip down to the OBX several times a year.

Were those pictures taken north of Corolla? If so, how far north did you go up the beach?

Yeah, it's north of Corolla. It's beautiful beach. I drove about 7 or 10 miles north and head back. I tried to see if I can find some wild horse there but no luck.

No, but I remember reading about them last year!

Last year my son, dad, and I caught 29 tilefish, off shore out of Roanoke Island, OBX. It was the first time I had tilefish and probably the best fish we have ever eaten.
