OBX Racing pedals installation

This is probably an easy question, and I couldn't find anything by searching.

Does anyone know (with a slight bit of detail) how the install is for the OBX racing pedals? I looked at the stock, and the brake pedal can be removed, but not the accelerator pedal. Do they just fit on top of the existing pedals???

You take the stock pad off the brake pedal, but you just put the new pedal on over the accelerator pedal. I put them on mine, took all of 5 minutes. Just make sure to put some lubricant (soapy water) on the backs of them to make them go on easier.

I bought them at my dealer, Virginia, $37. In my case, the dealer ask for $89 for the installation. It's expensive.

But, I don't know how to install them either. I didn't see any screws on them...show me more detail on how to remove and install the break pad please!

I've checked a few different places, and finally bought them.

I got the valor tip and the pedals... both are cheaper than other sites. $78 for both...
 
The pedals are a bitch to get on. Definately use soapy water... my fingers are all sore right now.
 
I was almost give up...there is not enough room for you do the gas pedal...I also heat the rubber pad up...so it becomes more flexible...hope the rubber is softer than it is...but so glad when I finally put them in place.
 
$89!!!

Just to install the pedals?!! OMG what a rip off. Granted they are a PITA but honestly not that hard. I installed mine and the break was easy but the gas pedal was awful. My fingers hurt afterwards.
 
Yes, what's a rip off....for $89...eventhough it took me quite sometimes to get it done...it is sure worth it...It make me so happy by doing it by myself...
 
What's your thoughts on the OBX pedals? Worth the money for something you really won't see?

Any different "feel" on these pedals? Would you buy them again having had them for a while?
 
110% cosmetic. I only see them when I open the door to get in. I think they look better than the stock black pedals though.
 
I am running into issues installing the gas OBX pedal . I've tried soapy water but have been unsuccessful. Any tips on what else to try to get this on?

sorry to be of no help. soapy water was all it took for me. more soap than water in my case...
 
Easiest install I ever done. Just follow instructions. Underside rubber stretches some when intaling, just slide them on in sise to side motion and put enough soapy water. Also use plenty of soap in that water.
 
Does these fit on 2004 Sports Edition. I know this is prob a stupid question, but on toyotaparts4u.com it only says

Are they smaller than the stock pedals. I have big feet and my feet tend to sometimes push the brake when trying to accelerate.
 
Honestly, I'm not very sure. I put them on shortly after buying the truck so I can't really compare. They fit right over the stock pedals though.
