that's the problem with any movement, a few idiots change the whole tone of it all, look at any political party and you can see that the original intention by most of them sounds fair,well balanced and as if it might actually work, but then you hear the people who call themselves democrat or republican speak and all creditability is lost for them and their cause, same thing goes here.
sure I'm all for Americans standing up against corporate America, but who exactly is that? costing city and state tax payers money in extra police and all of the rest that gets tied up in these sort of things, is that really taking it to corporate America or just your fellow tax paying citizen?
again, i think the idea is great, but kind of unrealistic and at the very least poor execution on these protesters parts as whole even barring the few idiots talking about f'ing animals and $20/hr minimum wage .
i just don't get how this effects corporate America? (whoever that is)
i think corporate America has known it's been screwing people over from the very beginning of capitalism , and if not then at least in the last 20-30 years
they have been giving it to us good and been smiling the whole time, so why do they think hitting them with signs of displeasure and rally cries will do any good?
i'm with hepar, the only way to effect change in this country is with your vote, and unfortunately we have to wait for 150 million idiots to figure out whoever the heck they have been voting for and putting in office at the state level for the last 20 terms isn't working and vote the f'ers outn and vote someone new in and give them a chance to slap these corporate America palm greasers up the side of the head.
also on that same note, i think a lot of this and the state of our whole country can be fixed with some election reform to rid the process of special interest groups, and don't get me wrong i see nothing wrong with a group of people saying they want this guy to be their guy, but when you get these groups handing out millions in untraceable donations the candidate kind of become beholden to them esp. if the candidate wants a job after his term is up or whatever. oh and term limits for all politicians, being a politician in our country was never meant to be a job within of it's self, it was something the farmers and workers of the country would do for a few months out of the year and then return back to their crops, all one has to do is look at a history book and you can see how far we've strayed from the original intention of how things where meant to work and how things were meant to run.
and basically that's how i feel about these guys, getting off track from the original intention which was f-u corporate America which is now becoming the world owes me this and this and this....

Term limits, No Lobbyist, Fair Tax, No CEO makes more than 20x the lowest paid position in a corporation. There are plenty of smart people out there willing to run a company for a couple million bucks. This idea of 20 million dollar bonuses is rediculous. Just sayin

I think many of them would be best served by investing in razor blades and a bar of soap. Honestly.....would you hire any of them to do any job that required more than a modicum of intelligence? I sure as hell would not!
They are protesting the wrong people. They should be marching on Capitol Hill and seeking out people such as Chris Dodd and Barney Frank - two who were instrumental in engineering the system that is now failing us.
Capitalism is not the problem -- corruption and crony capitalism are what ails us.

Does anyone else see the irony in some of the protesters?
They are 'anti-corporate' with their signs and chants....but are using iPhones, Google, Verizon, etc., etc. You can see products from Wal-Mart, Sprint, YouTube, AT&T, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, McDonald's, Subway and other corporate entities visible in the news footage.
Some of them are protesting student loans and how expensive college/education has gotten -- while failing to see that the schools hike tuition and fees every time the government makes more money available to students so as to make college more affordable. You HAVE to see the irony in that! Even more strange is the number of people who think they are somehow "owed" a job. News flash: It doesn't work that way!
Now you see them in Chicago and other cities where 'protesters' are having trouble with the police. Guess what, Einstein? When your peaceful protest turns violent and you trespass, litter, commit assault & indecent exposure and try to block traffic (innocent people who still WORK for a living) and defecate on a police car......then you deserve a butt-whooping for dinner and pepper spray for dessert. The First Amendment does guarantee freedom of speech, but sure as heck doesn't mean you have a right to be heard or the privilege of breaking other people's stuff.
Keep it civil & peaceful or suffer the consequences!!
