Hi, I have my 05 V6 4runner for a year now and just lately it has been having some odd electrical or battery issues. The battery was changed back in May 2013. Earlier when the problem began, the car fob would not work so I had to use the key to open the door and then suddenly the car would work again except the time clock, mpg average gas count reset itself.
Just yesterday, it did the same thing and then today, while I'm driving one city 60 miles away, when I was heading into a fog, I turned on the headlights and then suddenly a lot of warning lights, abs, vsc trac, brakes, and skid lights turn on at once. I quickly turn off the headlights and all the warning lights went away. I then turn the radio off and turn the headlights and the warning lights, abs, vsc trac, brakes, and skid lights did not turn on.
When I was driving back home today, I was coming up on a hill and when I let go of the brakes, the car slid down, it didn't hold in place as it did before, and the car was shaking when idling as if it seems like it wants to quit.
Has this happen to anybody before? I looked around the forum and found nobody seems to have this problem, at first I was thinking of the alternator is beginning to die out. I checked the car and the battery has 12.4v and when the car is running, it has 13.8.
Also I checked the DTC enhance readiness and got 20 codes.
