Odd Smell on Occasion when using heat

A few months ago I changed the Cabin Filter.

Now I notice, on occasion, I get a odd MUSTY/HUMID/DIRTY smell when I use the heat, etc.

Any ideas? I'm gonna pull the filter out again but I can't imagine that had anything to do with it?

I changed the cabin filter coming back from Philly in June and immediately noticed a slight musty smell. I think its most likely a treatment on the OEM filter. went away after about 300 miles but it did surprise me.

thats odd. I've probably put on 1000's of kms on it already and it's still there. going to check out the filter again right now.

Well checked the filter. It looked okay, but I did notice that the dirt/sand I found was a bit "wet". I wonder if this attributes to the smell.

I'll chnage the filter in a week or so and see if it helps or it's the same.

Changed the filter today...will see in a week or so if it makes any difference...
