OE sport pedal (OBX)

...for those of you that own a set, what are they made of? Everything I've read thus far just describes them as 'silver'. Siver what? I assume they're plastic as it's likely that they'd mention they were aluminum if in fact they are.

Plastic?
Aluminum?
Unobtanium?

Depleted uranium....

They seem to be made of a really hard polymer/plastic. I've had them on for over a year and the "silver" is still there as well as the black rubber pads...

they are metal and slip right over the existing pedals..
I have them and they are great, especially with wet feet.....

They just slip over the pedals. Not sure if your runner is auto or manual, but on the auto you remove the brake pedal cover and place the new one. And on the gas it just goes over the present pedal. It was a little difficult for me to get the gas pedal on. Struggled with it, and finally used my heat gun to soften up the rubber a little.

It's funny how everyone is saying how they just "slip on." I used plenty of soap with a little bit of water and still struggled with them for 20 minutes. Then I cheated by cutting grooves in the corners. The feeling is just now returning to my fingers. You need patience to do this, but once you're done, it's worth it.

You were right......the pedals are a pain in the arse to get on. I ended up using the can opener on my utility knife to get them on. If you use soapy water with the curved part of the can opener between the pedals and rubber backing of the OBX pads; then they will go on in 5 minutes or less. I found this out after fumbling with them for over 20 minutes along with numb finger tips. The warm water trick does NOT work in my opinion. Good luck getting them on and when you do ........YES they are well worth it both visually and comfortably!
