Oem 06 hood protector

so ive got an 06 4r sport v8, anyone know how to install the oem hood protector? The instructions suck and dont even have pics of the parts? Am stuck? Thanks.

You sure you got the OEM part complete? The instructions that came with mine were fairly straightforward.

If memory serves...

Those little black metal extrusions are the mounting brackets. They are mounted to the undeside of the hood, into pretapped holes using the screws provided. the little mylar strips are stuck to the leading edge of the hood, behind the brackets to protect the finish from damage in case the metal brackets rub. The deflector mounts to the metal brackets.
