Oem rear shocks and Eibach rear springs?

Noticed both my rear Eibach shocks are blown / leaking. Heading out of state plan is to put on the oem shocks Friday.

Are the springs taller than OEM springs?
If so, it’s possible, but if the shocks are extended to max height, you could possibly damage the OEM shocks.

Depends on lift

Depends on the amount of lift you got from the springs. People put spacers on factory springs and shocks, If your talking about 1 to 1.5 inch rear lift then I'd think you would be fine.

I'm 1/2 way to Traverse City Michigan. Called a 4x4 suspension shop up there this morning and asked if they can either install my OEM shocks or source some Bilsteins for my Eibach Pro Truck Lift. The owner called me back and said no way. Didn't want his shop attached to any problems I might have.

We started arguing with each other. I finally said how about some airbags do you do those? He gave me the name of another shop.

I called Eibach this afternoon, while on the road, they said no problem. Can use the OEM shocks or Bilstein 5100's. They also said they would replace the blown shocks free of charge but were out of stock.

Looks like the rear Eibach spring is 1 inch taller than Oem.

Going to see if I can find a shop in the morning that can drop in my OEM shocks for me. Then order replacements.

Ride though Missouri / Illinois / Indiana was bouncy!!!

One inch will be fine

If your springs are 1" taller youll be fine on the OEM. I had a 1" spacer lift on my OEM shocks and they were fine, upgraded because I wanted stiffer ride. Youll be fine until your new one's come in

I agree, we can use the OEM shock on a slightly longer spring. However, I have to call out Eibach for mixing marketing and technical info on their website. Below Eibach states to only use their Eibach Pro shocks with the Pro lift spring. Not true until I hear why..
