OEM Roof Rack Limit

I did some searching and didn't quickly find a number. I need to haul some lumber, too long for inside. What is the weight limit on the rack. I have hauled wood up there before but just 2x4's. I am looking at some serious weight because I am getting 2x8x12's for those lumber savy people.

Lol 120 huh? I stood on my rola vortex rack the other day which is mounted on my factory rack and I'm 200.......whoops.

I think the cross legs are weakest, the frame should support a good few hundred pounds. After all when you see one of these flipped, the whole car doesn't just collapse on itself. That'd be my personal view on out, hence why in the Fall I'm going to make my own sturdy rack.

Not sure about the stock cross members but on my old suv I made a 1" square tube rack that bolted to the stock rails, over the years I had hundreds of pounds on it on many occasions with no adverse affect other than body roll in the corners, remember to drive slower and more cautiously....
