OEM Smoked Tails?

I was looking through the 3rd Gen gallery to get some ideas for new mods and saw that Fo_Sheezy posted this smoked tail light along with a few others as a suggestion for another member on new tails.

I really like how that looks but I'm not sure where to buy a set. The link is from an eBay listing but I didn't have any luck when I searched on there earlier. Does anyone, (maybe Fo_Sheezy?), know where I can get those tails? I like them better than the other aftermarket tails I've seen because they're the same as the OEM just with the added smoked factor. Thanks for your help.

Check out Burtmanindustries.com I have seen them there I found them for my 2000 4runner for 194.00 if you don't see them send him a email he is reliable and more than willing to help you!!!! I have seen the ones you are talking about on ebay much cheaper but peace of mind comes with getting them from jason burtman. also you can do a google search I have found some random site that have them but they seem to be the most expansive 300 give or take.

Thanks for the responses, guys. I checked on Jason's site but he couldn't find any tail lights that matched what I was talking about in my first post. There were crystal LED tails but none that had the smoked effect that I am looking for. I've seen all kinds of altezza tail lights etc but if possible I'd like to find the exact tail light I posted above.

Correct! I DO HAVE THEM IN SMOKE also. Just order the "crystal LED TAILS" from our website, and in the "notes" box on the final stage of checkout, say you wan the smoked version.

The price on the site is the best deal I can do. Remember, these are made by about 4 other compaines and some of them are crappy versions. I do stand behind what I sell, and I have them on my own truck now, as I've found which ones are the original, and better quality.

I'll can vouch for Jason, he is very helpful and you know that you will get what you pay for.

I personally don't think those LEDs look as good as the regular LEDs or the smoked, but why don't you try them out for us.

What do the lights look like that you prefer? What do the "regular LEDs" you mention look like?

I like the ones I posted because I want that smoked look but don't like the different altezza lights out there that are also smoked. I like how the OEM tail light looks in general, and I think the smoked out top part makes it even better. I think it's a nice subtle difference.

The "regular" ones I'm talking about are the '01-'02, but with LEDs. Jason Burtman has these on his 4runner.

If you want a truely smoked looked you should just take yours to a tint shop or spray them yourself.

I have posted what my "smoked" ones look like before in the LED thread that is a few pages back.

Hmm, good idea about taking them to a tint shop or spraying them myself. I'm indifferent on whether or not it has LED so if all I want is the smoked look then I could probably find a cheaper way to do it without replacing the entire light.

I'll take a look at yours in the LED thread.

Yeah man if you don't care about the LEDs save the $175. I would recommend going to LED bulbs though if you smoke them. You still want to be able to see the light when stepping on the break.

I used to have oem 01+ tails on my own truck that I bought oem from Toyota, but I will admit that I LOVE, love the leds on the new ones and have since sold the oem ones. It's looks like an OEM tail, but the LED's give the truck an updated look. I already had somene ask me if it was a 2007, cause he saw the leds.

I'm very anal and picky with my truck and won't just put anything on it. : )
