OEM Springs

Question about replacing springs. I have a 99 sport, which from reading here, should have the tallest springs.
If I order new oem springs, can I specify year 99 to get the same height? I'd like to keep it stock.
I've got 11.5" of ground clearance, per the manual and 1" taller tires. That's enough for my use.

Yes. Keep in mind they will be about $200/set. Also, from what I have heard and read, the front coils on all our 4runners tend to last a lot longer than rear coils. So, if you feel like you are just getting some rear sag, you might be able to get away with just replacing the rears for now.

Though, honestly, to my eye your rig already looks about as it should with 99 talls.

Thanks, just wondering if it needs a refresh. It's right at 300k and they are original. I bought it about a year old.

I'm about to replace ball joints, bushings, steering rack, etc, and considered doing this, too, with everything else.

With 300K I would do both along with struts & shocks. I'm doing my GF's Suby struts. I'm leaving the springs with only 125K on them. Next time it's due for struts I'll do the springs. (shes got coilovers at all 4 corners)

Are you ordering from a dealer? If so, be sure to give them your VIN. That should ensure the correct parts are provided. I'm a Toyota dealer parts guy; if you give me your VIN, I'll get you the part numbers. I am working tomorrow...

Wow, your truck looks great for 300k! Way cleaner thsn mine at 143k .

But yeah with that many miles, shocks are almost certainly a necessity.

Though, of note, also be aware that even with the front end completely together (and assuming no rust), pulling the front coilovers takes like 15 minutes per side, including jacking and removing the wheel, heh. So, if you feel like delaying on the shocks and springs for now, you won't have really wasted much effort.
