I agree. I never seen those wheels. I think that entire wheel is horrendous. They don't match an SUV imho.

I saw a set of these for sale and was curious what these wheels look like on a 3rd gen, now I know. Looks good. Would like them powdercoated black even better.

If I am running 17 inch wheels, and the stock wheels on my rig were 16 inch...Would I essentially be sitting one inch higher than stock? Of course, the tire size may have an effect on this as well. Currently, I have Toyo Open Country 265/65/17. Logic tells me this is the case, but I am not sure, hence why I am asking here.

Wheel diameter isn't going to change anything. Tire size/diameter will. The 265/65/17 is the equivalent of a 265/70/16, so nothing should change height wise.

I've always liked these ever since they came on T100s way back in the day. Had them on two of my 3rd gen's now. Thinking of just powdercoating them instead of getting aftermarket wheels.

Those are from the Texas Edition Tacoma. I like them & was looking for a set a few years back but couldn't find any used. I posted pics in this thread a while back.

Pg 7 & 9 have more Texas Taco wheels. I like the Gun Metal color. I was thinking about doing a Texas Edition 3rd gen build when I starting my build but 5th gen Trail wheels were cheap & easy, like me! LOL

I believe these are 2016 Tacoma Sport TRD wheels. I think now that I have a lift and 285s these will look good when I need to get new rubber. What do you guys think?

I have the same wheel/tire combo on my 01 Silver Sr5 Sport. The Previous Owner put them on. I like them but I think there are better OEM wheels out there. I definitely think these wheels are not common on 3rd gens so that's a positive!

I have liked these wheels for awhile. Whoever paints them next, should try this look, before spraying all of them. Painting the outside bead area and tossing on white letter BFG's, might look really cool.

No, those wheels aren't forged. Those are stock 4Runner wheels or a copy. dunno how heavy those are but i think those weigh around 25-27 lb.

I love the way this set up is. I just wish there was a way to get this profile without spacers. I bought a set of 17 TRD Off Road Tacoma wheels for my 98 Limited but after mounting them on the truck, they tucked in more than the OEM wheels and I just couldn't deal with it. Put them on the 99 SR5 and they look great! It has the smaller flares and the profile is perfect on it. I'll have to get a pic soon.
