I reordered from a "local" Toyota dealer that allows free onsite pickup. It's in MA so I have to pay $32 in sales tax and I have to drive 90 miles to get them, buuuuuuuuuuut, they are really close to Tree House Brewing in Charlton.:cheers:

Is anyone else noticing that once you input the trdship code, the price on the item is adjusted? i.e. the skidplate price went from $215 to $286.35.... something doesn't sound right

It looks like dealers might be requesting shipping charges or canceling orders.

Probably be safer for you to buy from Maguson in Palo Alto for local pickup and just pay the tax.

Made my order for the skid plate a couple hours ago with the shipping coupon. Looks like funds are already being held according to my mobile banking app. Hopefully everything goes off without a hitch. The code saved me $75. No tax applied since it is out of state.

Too bad the free shipping code isn't working anymore but frankly, it was too good to be true!

Something I noticed with shipping costs is that some dealers have a 'fixed' rate, while some other will charge you according to how far you are located.

Lowest shipping rate I found was 64$, you just need to try a few different dealers first! Hope this helps

I noticed that they basically void sales tax out of state, but will charge you roughly 7.5% depending on distance for shipping. It's either noted by itself, or they inflate the price of said item at checkout. I've made 4 different orders and cancelled 3. Double check your orders, as line items vary, and then the subtotal is less, then they add back in shipping and handling fees.

One dealership in CA cancelled my order, that I used the trdship code in, saying there was a glitch and I was supposed to be charged shipping and handling. Ended up ordering just over the state line to avoid sales tax, and have the lowest shipping charge.

Did you order from bommarito or lewis in topeka? I placed my order through bommarito for the intake and it was 22 bucks shipping vs like 27-50 for other dealers and no tax since it is on the Mo side.

ordered the cold air intake from Bommarito, $312 including shipping. The Amazon reviews have me convinced that even though it fits the 5th gen perfectly, dealerships sometimes won't install it because it's not the right part # - so i might end up trying to install it myself

Don't pay a dealer to install an Air Intake. That has to be one of the easiest under the hood mods someone can do.

Well, I bought the wheels couple weeks ago when there was a discount on most Toyota parts, paid $158 each before tax, not quite as good as this 40% deal, oh well.

I am also very interested in the skid, and would need to cut it as well for the KDSS. I am undecided at the moment and I think I might get aftermarket instead - so that I don't have to cut, but more importantly, I would have options for filter access.

Originally ordered through bommarito, but cancelled because of sales tax. Reordered through Lewis and put in TRD ship, getting free shipping and no sales tax.

Ordered skid plate, intake, 2 air filters, cleaning kit, and 5 oil filters. Went from $770 down to $701
