Ordered a TRD Intake shipped for ~$300. I'm very skeptical on the system, but I suppose I can sell it for roughly what I paid if I don't like it.

I know it says there is a 35% restocking fee. I placed the order but have not received a confirmation email from the dealer where i am supposed to pick up my order. Do you guys think if i wanted to cancel my order, they will still charge a restocking fee if the items are not yet ready for pickup? Has anyone cancelled their order successfully with pick up option? Thanks

I am actually having my stuff shipped, but a New England meet-up would be nice. Perhaps even get someone with connections on here to organize and off-road day. Most if not all good spots are on private land so its tough finding good spots around these parts. I digress.
I am happy to have ordered the TDR Pro Wheels and Skid though. Got 3 separate emails from Mcgee but all are about receiving the order. Hopefully they'll ship it out without issues. Good luck to everyone with their orders and "free shipping" if honored.
Received a call this morning from the Topeka dealership saying they received so many wheel orders they haven't been able to process them all yet. My wheels need to be backordered. I purchased around 9am, so hopefully they're high on the list! My local dealership is doing a buy-3-get-4th-for-$1 sale on tires, but you have to have them installed by May 3rd or something.
To be honest, I don't envy these dealerships. Somehow I don't think Toyota realized how much stuff people were going to buy.

Everybody can meet up at the South Shore mall in Braintree and go wheeling around there.
I think the dealerships don't mind, Toyota is making them whole on the sale price / making their money. I do feel bad for all parts counter grunts who are probably going to be crazy busy for the next week.
People definitely were interested in picking TRD products. Excited to get my TRD Pro wheels though. Should be here monday. Sad they are going to have sit in the box for a while so I can save up for some new rubber.
I ordered from Topeka as well. Placed the order at around 11:15 PM on the 3rd. Hopefully I was first,or real close. I received an email confirmation the the order was received, but nothing else.
Hopefully I get my tracking soon from them. I ordered a little after 8am

For those who got their wheel orders canceled or if the dealer requested more money, how much was your shipping before the TRDSHIP coupon?
I'm trying to see if my theory is correct that the dealer is being reimbursed by Toyota for using the TRDSHIP coupon. Like I said before I think if your shipping charge is high like $160 - $200 and you used the coupon, the dealer will get all this back from Toyota so they're ok with it. If your shipping was $32 and you used the coupon, the dealer will only get $32 back so they want more money from you for shipping or cancel the order.
I still got no cancellation yet for my TRD Pro wheels and the shipping was $160 before the coupon . I did receive a 2nd email yesterday saying my order was received.

Shipping charges got cazy. In the morning i put together all the parts for the CAI and shipping was going to be 400.00. Did it an hour later and shipping 240.00. Obviously dealers trying to make up the loss on the 40%. After going a couple of rounds with my conscious and seeing the coupon code for free shipping i was going to pull the trigger... then as it did Army happened and i had "urgent business " to tend. Scooby do a couple hours and the coupon code no longer worked, but shipping was now 40.00. Thinking some dealers got called out by corporate for the early shipping price scams. As it is they left a bad taste in peoples mouths. I understand that sales out paced expectations, but still.

Shipping charges from any on-line dealership can always a big circle-jerk. You do an on-line search for the best price, then find out they tack on a huge shipping charge after you go through part of the purchasing process and it really isn't the cheapest. Kinda like seeing Spirit Airlines as the cheapest flight but that's before they charge for everything.
As a comparison, my 4 SCS wheels shipping charge was $98.58. Knowing SCS's good reputation and customer service, that is probably a fair shipping cost.
