For those who got their wheel orders canceled or if the dealer requested more money, how much was your shipping before the TRDSHIP coupon?

I'm trying to see if my theory is correct that the dealer is being reimbursed by Toyota for using the TRDSHIP coupon. Like I said before I think if your shipping charge is high like $160 - $200 and you used the coupon, the dealer will get all this back from Toyota so they're ok with it. If your shipping was $32 and you used the coupon, the dealer will only get $32 back so they want more money from you for shipping or cancel the order.

I still got no cancellation yet for my TRD Pro wheels and the shipping was $160 before the coupon . I did receive a 2nd email yesterday saying my order was received.

Mine was $34.95 for shipping 4 wheels and a skid plate. My order has not shipped. The dealer emailed me to say my order will be ready in 5-7 business days. Your theory may be correct. Hopefully it just ships without any issue.

Dealers aren't losing any money on this and did not "need to make anything up". Toyota corporate is covering the difference in sales. price.

Right, I placed my order and the quoted shipping was $0.00 so I didn't use the trdship code. The parts guy called me and asked if we could cancel the order and place the same order again using the trdship code. That way they would get reimbursed from Toyota for shipping. Shipping over $200 I was told was free but the code was required for the dealer to be reimbursed. So that's what we did. No worries. Perhaps not all parts folks understand how this works. My guy sounded a bit stressed.......

Oh, that was Stevinson Toyota West, Denver, CO. I got very different prices and shipping from other dealers. Even shipping from the same dealer varied one time to the next entering the same order.

Thanks for confirming that. That's what I suspected because people with cheap shipping and used the coupon are the ones having problems.

I forgot to add that I was told they would have to charge me for the free shipping if we didn't resubmit the order using the trdship code. The order has the disclaimer that heavy objects may incur additional shipping cost. My parts guy knew how to solve his own problem. Sounds like others did not.

I originally paid $64 for shipping 4 wheels but then they called me asking other $35.99...

The software on the Toyota websites, in general, sucks. I played with my order until I got the shipping to $0.00 but this varied depending on how I entered the order. What I was eventually able to do was to get a 5th TRD wheel for the cost of 4 plus shipping. The total order was for 5 wheels, a skid plate, and a few hundred dollars of other parts. My goal was to substitute parts for shipping cost. I succeeded. Took some effort. I did not intend to buy 5 wheels, but hey, I would rather own the 5th wheel than to own shipping.......

I ate the local tax, but ordered wheels and a skid plate Wednesday night. My order showed processing yesterday and got a pick up ready notice this AM. I drove 20 miles over to the dealership and had my stuff in hand this afternoon

Parts guy said he had worked there seven years and had never seen so much volume.

Said he didnt know about the sale until he came in thursday morning to a mountain of work lol. Just finished processing orders this evening. Holy sh!t that's a lot of wheels! Haha stock wheels and tires on AZ Craigslist are going to be $100 a set by May.

I haven't received any shipping information yet, but no cancellations either.
