So I dont really feel like spending the extra money or time on another OEM gas cap. My tundra has the aftermarket one and it does fine but it seems that 4runner are a lil more touchy with emission or evap systems so would a aftermarket work well if so whats the best kind yall have used?

well I dont mind spending the 25 dollars but I have replaced the oem gas cap before and just tired of it possibly going out.

well I replaced it once because I thought it had something to do with the notorious evap codes and now I replaced the charcoal canister and im going to try a new gas cap b/c I dont ever hear that vaccum sound when I take my top off meaning that the pressure isnt right in it.

I just did my charcoal canister and it solved my problem w/ the codes and now I have that vacuum again. I'd think that if your gas cap is relatively new and you already did the canister it's probably one of those replaceable VSVs in the engine bay or one of the hoses. Perhaps it's worth trying a smoke test yourself? (before spending more money on another cap)
