Off roading and camping in NJ??

Hello guys me and my brother have been wanting to do some off roading and outdoor camping here in NJ. I been searching and can't find any places that allow it. Do you guys know any good places??

Check out Wharton State Forest. No real hardcore wheeling or long distances but nice dirt roads. They have a few different campgrounds and I think they follow the standard state forest camping protocol (as long as you arent staying "more than 1 night" you dont need a permit to camp).

I'm planning a trip out that way one of these weekends just to putz around and explore.

Yea def check Wharton state forest there are some nice scenic trails with lots of mud puddles. I might go there this Saturday if you want to join.

Its not in NJ, but check out Rausch Creek, thats a great spot to go wheeling. You gotta pay but the trails are great. They have primitive camping there for free, or you can swing by Twin grove which is a dope camping resort.

If you guys check out Wharton this weekend I might be down to join.

Yea I figured it out and was going to message you but got caught up with work. It all depends on weather for me. Since i have my dog i don't want to walk him in the dirt when its raining.

Wanna skip the rain and check out Mahwah early Sunday ? Maybe around 7 AM?
