Off-Roading + Camping/MTB in Colorado

I've had my T4R since Sept '09, and I've taken it off road a few places I know of...but I'm looking for new spots to explore. I'd like to mix great camping, fly fishing or MTB with some fun off road into where-ever we'd camp. I'm pretty new to off roading so I'm not ready for something like Lake Como road just yet. Any great places you can suggest?

Thanks.

close to town or farther away?

Guanella Pass road that connects from Georgetown at I70 to Grant at US285 is a nice place to explore.

NOTE: The road has construction and rock slide issues. At present you can only enter via Grant side and can not go up from the Georgetown side.

Central City area has lots of trails to explore. Town of Alta is nearby and spur roads can get you lost for days...

Crested Butte is much further away and a Mountain Bikers paradise. Taylor Reservoir area west of Buena Vista -cross Continental Divided via Cottonwood Pass-has lots of level roads and plenty of room for camping and biking.

The possibilities are endless my friend! More a matter of how many days you want to be away....
