Thai, great pics!!! I really wish I could have gone. How'd you like the lower portion of Engineer above 550? Not bad if you go slow. Imogene is a great trail too. Now you see why I continue to go back over and over again? Can't get enough of it. Scenery is to die for.

The lower portion was not nice...i thought that my running board would for sure be gone. It turned out well. No problems with boards or tires. Scenery was great! I will come back probably in 2-3 years.

Yes it is, however now that Thai has traded in his T4R for a G we decided to transition the site into a combo G / T4R forum. Based on the results so far in the POLL it looks like over 60% of the forum is in support of the transition. I'm relieved to see that folks are understanding of the change cuz I was afraid everyone would go ballistic.

How does the G-Wagen ground clearane compare to a stock 4rth gen 4Runner, more?

Yes and no. Below the differential (solid axles front & rear), the G-wagen has 8.3". However, both differentials are on the passenger side. The next lowest thing on the G-wagen is about 11". So, with this design, i can go over a big rock by keeping the rock under my side (driver's) of the truck where ground clearance is the highest.

What camera did you use?

Man, I really love the quality of the pictures you took. Did you use a digital SLR? If so, do you mind sharing what make and model camera it was. Also, did you use the standard lens that came with the camera, or did you add on aftermarket lens?

I am planning some outdoor trips this summer, and could use such a camera.
