Offical 3rd gen BS thread

I will admit, I wasn't happy with how the video sounded...

It's recorded with an iPhone so....

I will play around with it some more this afternoon after work and try to get a drive by or something.

Seriously, even with an iphone(Which are great for sounds/pictures/vids IMHO since I have 2 of them) The video quality was great.

That makes me miss my 99 Tacoma with the TRD exhaust and s/c. I loved the sound of it and it was awesome going into parking structures because the sound filled the entire structure.

i dont know why but i rather have a quiet exhaust for wheeling. anybody wanna trade their stock for my flowmaster lol

I know what you mean! I was in a parking garage a few months ago trying to impress my wife; got into my parking spot, said "Listen to this" hit the accelerator.

I was still in gear. Missed the concrete wall by about 2mm...

Awdjunkies - your pictures made me think of a picture I snapped a year or two back - believe it or not, did it one-handed, while driving my truck across a lake bridge. LOL

Is it absolutely necessary to put the rear axle on jackstands when replacing the rear shocks or could I just put them on with the 4runner on the pavement?

Not at all necessary, but i just find it to be a ***** to hold the car steady with one of the rear wheels really far in the air flexing so much the spring falls out, while trying to unbolt the rear shock.

So, go ahead and flame away...

Today was a beautiful day. Perfect day to find a road no one drives on, and take some videos.

So I did this. I thought they turned out pretty well!

I decided to try and trim them up on my iPhone as they were pretty long, with a lot of nothing in them. In every program I have EVER used "Trim" means cut out what you have selected. Not the case with the iPhone. Trim means "Cut out everything BUT what's selected."

Long story short, I have 2 videos of nothing now. Hopefully tomorrow is as nice...

Here's a video from inside doing a quick "launch" if you will...
