Offical 3rd gen BS thread

Derek, I've heard they will do it with it on, but expect a bunch of oil all over the top. They're not going to be that careful, but I would just call them and ask.

:naughty: hey i got a spare budbuilt skid plate in my garage... if anyone wants it let me know, just dont tell derekabraham you got it from me:hiding::jk:

You should mail the front one to me since I had to cut mine off to service the motor.

Stock skid is worthless

I just need to give a shout out to member the kid. He's a very cool dude, always willing to help those in need and is very helpful with just about any question you may have. I really appreciate it again man!

Now, in other news....

So I recently had a free oil change at the local dealership. When I got there, the service advisor offered to do my differential fluid and transfer case fluid for $50, which is about the cost of an oil change anyways so I said sure, why not?

Now when I shift from neutral to either high or low on the transfer case shifter, I get a really strong/loud vibration from the shifter (almost feels like one of those buzzers that people prank you with when they shake your hand). Prior to getting the fluids changed, the shifter was really smooth from high to neutral to low and back. What's going on?

I'm going back to the dealer first thing tomorrow morning to see what's up, but any input I can get from you guys beforehand would be appreciated. :)

I want to take my 4runner to the dealer and get an oil change. I want to see what the say when the open the hood.

Haha! I am, but 5 months is a long time to wait for something to do. Plus I could get the kit for $150 off retail value of it. I'm 90% sure I will have the money for a s/c once January comes around.

If your talking about the group buy on TacomaWorld, those happen once a month. Wait until February and join that group buy.
