3. do you have a little unwanted lean in this last picture? looks like a bit of gangster lean to the rear passenger side.

No unwanted lean. When on pavement that is flat I'm perfectly level. I straightened the photo but that rock has a pretty good slope which is deceiving. That also is compounded by the fact I have a few extra passengers in the truck during the pic (making for 6 total passengers at this point). Two international hikers went out and got lost. Stumbled upon them and drove them out. Mid 60s couple from Belgium hiked out early and at 5 PM were 6 hours out in the middle of nowhere... Glad we found them, gave them some food and water and drove them out.

Wentworth Springs Road
Went Camping this past weekend with the kids to Loon Lake, I wanted to get some trail action and since my T4R is in no way ready for the Rubicon we went a did a few miles on Wentworth springs road which is one of the way to get to the Rubicon with out going though the gate keeper. Lots of blast rock from the forest service to help the stock Jeeps on the Jeep Jamboree weekend:rofl:
Of course no post is complete without the customary Flex shots

Snow wheeling is a totally different animal than rock crawling. For downhills you just keep it in Lo Low - 4LO and 1st gear. If it's icy, keep off the brakes or at the most threshold brake. Sometimes the downhills are so icy that you're on a toboggan ride and all you can do is hope that when you get to the bottom there'll be enough traction to slow you down. As far as picking a line - in deep snow your line gets picked for you if the ruts are deep. Otherwise you pick the line that you hope doesn't have all the ice on it.
In the first pic there's a downhill followed immediately by an uphill. Both were icy, so I put the locker on at the top of the first hill and kept it in 3rd. When I got to the bottom of the hill I was on the gas right away to gain some momentum for the climb. The trick on climbs is to keep on the gas until you feel yourself start to lose traction, then feather it in that zone. The worst is losing traction close to the top of a hill because then you have to go back down the hill in reverse - not fun if it's slippery. Winter wheeling is the northern equivalent of Baja wheeling.[/QUOTE]
