Couple things man,
1-I'm sure I missed it somewhere, but what blinkers are you running in your SW bumper, and did you modify it or order it that way?
2-We are passing by the house on our way to Denver around the 15th or so. I want to run poughkeepsie since it is the only pass I've never driven in a vehicle. (ridden on moto countless times) I know you have a front locker, is that vital you think? No locker up front for me, though I am putting on a winch when I get home. Just a little concerned is all, I haven't seen it in years, but I know it's a handful on 2 wheels. Input?
1: Whatever came up on amazon search for a oval amber LED trailer light. I had Shrockworks put in a standard trailer oval cut out in place of the PIAA lights that everyone has problems with. Kind of a mixed bag, as the LEDs require a resistor (can't change the flasher relay on the 5th gen), and the resistors overheat when using them as running lights.

2. Front locker makes it easier, but not required. I ran it a bunch of times with rear locker + ATRAC. 285 Duratracs it usually took a couple tries on slightly different lines. 285 MTRs might take a tiny bit of wheel spin, but would make it on pretty much any line. 305 MTRs locked f/r I just drive straight up at what my wife calls "40 mph" with no wheel spin or drama.

There are winch points, so no worry about making it with a winch. They also unfortunately opened a bypass for the wall last year. Soon that trail will be over run with ATVs and side by sides, like every other trail, as news of the bypass spreads.

Took the new 4Runner out for a shake down and introduction for the entire family. Just the reason I went for a 4Runner with 3rd row seating. Mild drive up Old Flowers Road. Learned a few things about the controls and built my confidence in the vehicle. Family had a good time and we really learned the full scale of the High Park Fire in 2012.

Another question:

I've done "P Gulch" ( a lot easier to spell) many times, both uphill and down hill, but have always had to winch up. What is this "easy line" you speak of? I've only seen one vehicle make it up without winching; an old, beat up TJ Rubicon that only had a minimal lift in it, driven by a crusty old guy with many miles on him. He took a far right line that I've never tried, but when I did it down hill last month that line looked more difficult than my usual line more in the middle. Maybe this is the definition of insanity since I keep trying the same thing and expect different results....

There is kind of a jagged V notch in the wall, on the left 1/3rd. Straddle that notch, and as long as you don't slip in to it, you shouldn't have too much trouble. There is also a pretty easy line on the taller part of the wall to the left, but it can get dicey if you don't get it just right.

not as sweet as Jeremy556 trails but went to Rowher Flats again today. Just trying to find other routes today. Prob about 1/3 the way up in this pic..

That's the line I've always taken, but always seem to get hung up on the 2nd step. One guy in our regular Ouray party tried the far left line once and almost back flipped his LJ Rubicon and I've seen a couple of others try that line, unsuccessfully. Maybe I'm not insane and will keep trying.

So, I can assume you are liking the tires.... What pressure have you been running? I Had mine at 14 last time out. Worked great, but the sidewall flex seemed to increase by the end of the day. Seems like they sort of broke in...

Sugarloaf Trail

Drove a great trail this past weekend out of Big Pine, CA up to Sugarloaf Mountain. Goes from 4,000' to 10,200' in about 8 miles. Needed spotting in two narrow spots, put a few scrapes on the sliders. No need for the lockers, but the A-Track did kick in a few times.

Oh yea. On rocky trails (<15mph) I have been doing 8-10psi, less rocky trails 12-14. 10psi on the 305s "feels" like 12psi on the 285s.
