I was just out at Barnwell this past weekend with the Toyota Trail Riders. Don't have any photos of my rig, but plenty of everyone else. I was the only 5th Gen, but there were two 1st Gens, my son's 4th Gen, a few FJ's and a few Jeeps. My son ended up breaking a tie rod on Saturday Night Live and we spent most of Saturday afternoon doing a trial repair. Shit happens.....

I must've just missed you - I was there Saturday morning through late afternoon.
I was with some FJs for the most part, but I did see a newer white 5th gen and a dark green 3rd gen.
My first time at Barnwell...had plenty of fun - definitely worth the drive vs. Bridgeport.

i think i broke a rule or three of the Md Parks Dept...and used an empty trail right off of the Chesapeake bay bridge, west of Annapolis, Md...and basically just an excuse to exercise my 4WD system (like the manual says to do every month). A great way to spend a cloudy vacation day...:banana:

ok, NOW i am really starting to get hooked on this whole '4wd-wheelin thing...'
broke the rules again...sorry, i think im addicted.
anyway...north of the DC area, there is an old army-artillery base from the WWII era, that they have cleaned up, allowed it to over grow, and now its a national park; 8000 acres of woods, camp sites, a few small fishing lakes, ect. Also running through it is a cleared path for high voltage power lines transporting electricity from the plants in the north to the neighborhoods in the area. The plus is...you sign in, and on any given fall weekday, there is all of 8-10 people on the entire plot. I could tell, at sign in, that i was the most excitement the attendant had had all week. They also allow deer, duck, and goose hunting at seasonal times of the year. There is a long paved mucked up road running through the park, and at about ever 200 feet there is a dirt road/fire trail/access path/ect. leading deeping into the forestland. Well, i think you know where i am going with this. Add to it the day before we had gotten a good inch of rain, and you have a nice 3-4hrs of light mudding and learning/enjoying the capabilities of our beloved 5th gen.
I still would love to experience some of the beautiful mountains that you guys out in the southwest have. Ive even seen a vid where you have 5 national parks along a wonderful section of back country, and the only warning is "4wheel drive needed to proceed"...in any event, yeah...this is becoming a very interesting hobby to partake. plan on returning deeper into the winter to check out how pretty this place can be in the snow.

Really love the look of the Fuel Beast rims you have. I currently have the 7 spoke trail rims and was looking at the beast. Unfortunately I don't have the data on the current rims with regards to back spacing and offset so that I can understand where the Beast will land with stance. I'm currently running spiders at 1-1/4" and I like the stance.
Do you think the Beast will give me the same look but without the need for spacers.?
I can get the data on the Beasts as far as BS and Offset... just don't know how to compare without data on what I have. Running a Toytec Boss lift (2") fron with SAWs and Bils in the rear.
