Wet traction not so great
adjusted psi to 38 front 40 rear and no steering shimmy....unless the road is pretty bad......

It's just disconcerting to see this tire rated #1 on Tirerack.com , then see it bashed on here..... wtf???? Is tirerack full of sh...... is everybody reviewing these tires on there full of sh.....
This is my 4th set of tires on this truck...(dunlops oem - sucked ass/shimmy, khumo k61's - still shimmy, Michelin ltx at2 shimmy came, went, came , went....stayed....now these BFG AT KO2's C rated - very quiet now--apparently not so much in the future.....and looks like no steering shimmy as long as you keep psi high , even with c rated

-Your experience: Overall I haven't had a bad experience with these tires, the only thing is the slight loss of traction on wet surface. I haven't used them much in mud/dirt but i have in the snow and i have yet to get stuck.

I have a set on my gen 1 tundra and just put a set of 275s on the gen 5 4runner. Been really happy with the off road capability of the tires but they seem to wear out quick. Have had 3 sets on the tundra and only get about 25 to 30k. But haven’t found a better tire for the price.

-Lift/Excessive Loading/Trailering - I have a 3" inch lift and leveled. I don't carry excessive loads but I pull a medium sized utility trailer at least 2 weekends a month. Camping/Hauling firewood, lumber, roofing, misc materials etc.
-My experience - nothing special, they wear fine, ride fine. I didn't need Load range E, but in my size, they only produce 'E'. Anytime I needed additional traction I put chains on or use the winch. However this is no different than any tire I have ever owned on all my 4runners. Also perfect balance on them right of the rack. No Shimmy, No wobble, no vibration. I should have gone 285/70/17's, but I'll get there on the next set I buy.
They look good, I had to buy them once. I've always wanted to rock a set. BFG doesn't honor rebates even when purchased from the dealer they suggested I use to get the rebate. Shitty company in that regard. I won't buy them again, I can get a tire equal in looks and performance for cheaper. Way cheaper even with the rebate.

I cut the side wall but to their credit the slow leak did not catastrophically fail. NVH was pretty good. They look good.
Got rid of them due to scary wet traction and didnt want to crash into someone or something.
Would never purchase again. No idea why they get such good reviews.

Live in Boston, travel in winters to NH, VT, and NY. Pleasant on the highway and confident in rain, haven't had a ton of experience with snow... a little tricky on ice but way better than Dunlops. Most confident in 45-65 mph speeds with some snow on the road. I used to switch to 4WD in my 4th gen but I feel confident to stay in RWD with the 5th Gen now.

Have spent a lot of time on forest roads, in snow, and all over highways in the Sierra Nevadas with these tires. No failures to report. Same on highway as P-rated tires in my opinion -- driving 80 mph, no vibration or noise. I have not experienced the slipping in rain many have reported here, not even once, which is weird. I've gotten a flat in these in the city -- a screw -- which I plugged 10k miles ago and it's still fine. These are decent tires in my experience. I lost about 1 mpg when I put these tires on.

Just thought I would give my on road only experience with a set of KO2 w/ 3PMSF I picked up free from a friend. Came off of a 2000 land cruiser that he purchased used. He replaced them due to noise but after replacing them realized he had a wheel bear issue. I have these on a 99 limited 4runner. Previously I had a set of Cooper ATP in the same size and load E as well. I have had these on for only a few thousand miles but experience all weather conditions. These things are horrible on wet pavement and in snow in 2wd compared to the ATPs. They break lose much easier than my coopers when they had only 5/32nds of tread. Im not saying the coopers didnt break loose with that much wear, but just no where near as easy as the KO2s. I will say that they are quieter than the ATPs and do take less weight to balance. When I do put my 3rd gen into AWD, they feel pretty solid in any condition. I wondering if weight is a factor. Questioning if my 3rd gen is too light for the rubber compound and load range E of the KO2. Going to swap them onto my 2003 sequoia next and will update.
I know that there are quiet a few reviews especially on youtube on how good these tires are in snow. Those youtube people have no idea what they are talking about. As of now, compared to the ATPs, I can not recommend this tire for wet and winter conditions.

-Your experience: I like them a lot so far. they do slip a little in wet conditions from the start which i dislike tremendously, but they balanced right away and i havent had any problems with alignment since they were installed. i drive on the sand to go fishing, air down to about 18 psi. they do great on the sand.
I am still waiting for a good snowfall to take them out and tear it up...hopefully this winter! I like them on the highway, quiet and reliable so far!

I really like them, no failures or mechanical issues with them. Around 15K they had a vibration. I had the Toyota dealer roadforce balance ($$) them and they have been very smooth since. Even wear, not too noisy, but you know they're there.
Main complaint is the lack of wet traction. I've had more than few "near miss moments" driving normally. That is the main reason I'm starting to look at other brands of tires. If they had good wet traction, I'd buy them again in a heartbeat.
The load range E is heavy and I notice it in acceleration, braking(especially), fuel economy, and ride quality. That last statement would apply to any tire that weighs 55 pounds though; that's just physics not a fault of the tire.

plenty of offroad and gravel/dirt roads. first half of tire life involved a long interstate commute
Tires performed well, dry road traction was good and road handling characteristics are good. Wet road traction was poor, this was my main complaint. Ride is okay. Initially difficult to balance, but maintained their balance after that. Minor cupping despite 5k mile rotations and a 1 or 2 alignments, nothing severe though. Very satisfied with snow and ice performance. About 1mpg fuel efficiency impact. Tires showed a lot of cracking when removed despite being less than 3 years old.
Now using Falken Wildpeak A/T3W's and so far after a few thousand miles prefer them to the KO2, they ride a bit smoother and the wet road performance is significantly improved.

i had ko's and ko2, i heart them both.
good:
Quiet, and long wearing.
E range can take quite a bit of abuse.
Good in rain and ok in snow, ok in sand, bad in mud.
snow rated: exempted from snow chain gang in some states.
Bad:
wasn't easy to balance on OEM wheels.
My verdict: I would buy again and definitely recommend them. However, I want to try something new with my next purchase.
