I'm sure that was just for materials. You can get a reasonable spray gun from HF on the cheap if you have a compressor that can feed it already. If not, I'd look into one of their electric sprayers (no compressor needed)... $120 ish, assuming you have other uses for such a set-up.

Ammo!
I've read some good thing about Double Tap ammo while checking on loads for various SD guns. They don't seem to have 9mm in stock very often, but do typically carry most other calibers including rifles and shotgun, even .233/5.56... mostly HP, ball, or specialty rounds it seems. They run about $1 per round for handgun and rifle, so this isn't cheap range ammo by any means. It's quite competitive with the Speer, Magtech, Corbon, etc normal prices though.

BTW, I picked up my new Sigma and M&P today and they were great right out of the box. I dumped a few boxes of range ammo and I am a happy camper.
Edit: Oh and that damn Kel-tec FTE'd on the first round today. I grabbed some new ammo to see if it changed anything. The first shot went bang and the case got stuck and the gun tried to feed another round into it. WTF...

how do they know you're not under age when you buy ammo online? I have about 2 months left...
And I am absolutely dead set on a 3.5" barrel 1911. I know I wanted a few others but I have to have one of these.
Debating on if I should sell my 10/22 and maybe even the hi point.

I'm not sure what the deal is on the PF-9. I may have to take it in to get a gunsmith to look it over.
For online ordering, some places require you to fax or email a copy of your DL, but most don't. I think they assume if you have a credit card, then you are old enough (although we know that doesn't always fly). Plus you have to "certify" you are 18... so if you lie, I guess it's on you.
For the 1911s, there are tons of options. First, figure out a budget. Keep an eye on slickguns... I see them pop up there a lot with decent prices.
Is there anything wrong with the 10/22? I've been considering getting one just to mod and have some fun with.

I was thinking of handgun ammo. stupid laws. You can own one, but you can't buy the ammo.
As for the 10/22? nah nothing wrong. I'm just bored with it. I want the mosin nagant m44 with a synthetic stock etc...or something. Definitely a "compact" 1911 though.
Otherwise, I'm broke. I see hi points going for about $130 and 10/22s like mine for about $350-400.

Yeah I've been eyeing a Mosin myself. For the compact 1911 you'll have lots of options in the $600-$800 range... many more in the $800-$1200 range. The hi point should be easy to move. The 10/22 will depend on what you have into it and what else is out there. I've seen stock ones for as low as $230 lately and the "tacticals" for $399.

The 91/30's are so much fun...best $100 i've spent in a long time. Plus the ammo is cheap and fairly easy to find locally.
The top one is going on sale tomorrow. My m44 should be here on tuesday.
I know it may take some more time to source the parts, but why not build a 22lr AR-15 upper or complete rifle? You can use the spare parts from your other AR builds to piece it together.

if you are going to throw away the m44 stock and get rid of your 10/22, why not pick up a 91/30 for $100, ATI stock for $70, ATI bent bolt/scope mount for $48, cut down the barrel and use the scope on your 10/22? that'll be cheaper than buying a m44 plus an ATI stock.

The only reason I haven't ordered one yet is because I'm not sure which one I want... I need to do some research on them to make an educated decision.
I do have an AR 22 but I didn't build it - I bought it a few years ago (M&P 15-22) and put a little money into it. I'm looking at the 10/22 because it has quite a bit more aftermarket support and kits available. TBH, I'm still leery of Ruger because of my last experience, but at least the plinker is well-established.
