Which upper and BCG did you order? can you cancel the order and buy it from another retailer? I'm seeing various BCG's and upper receivers show up online, as well as LGS.

What mag did you order? If it's a PMAG, they would be able to order it though a multitude of retailers right now.

Can't help you on the ammo though...I think any ammo manufacturer is way behind at this point.

The upper and BCG are from DSArms. I can still cancel so maybe I need to seek out some similar alternatives.

The mag is for a Sigma 40. The problem is they lost it, so they owe me the mag, so I'm waiting for them to get around to getting their hands on one.

Yeah, ammo is what it is. I have some WWB for now but really need to get some quality hollow points.

Very nice! Is that a 686 on the bottom? I've really been wanting a 686 2.5" and a 686+ 4" to add to my revolver collection. I'm a reloader and the .357mag cartridge is a very versatile round. IMHO its probably the best all around hand gun round. There is not much you cant do with the right .357mag. Hunt, home/personal defense or plink! I carry daily a SP101 2.25" 357mag.

Good news for my fellow Portlandians! :banana:

Northwest Armory has lots of new gear in stock, notable mentions include 9mm and .45 ammo, lots of AR's (just got 60+ Colt LE6920s!!!) Glock 17s, 19s, 23s and a few others I believe. So if you're still having trouble finding some of these items, go check 'em out. Prices are not always the best, but they are pretty reasonable. So time to lock and load!

.22 ammo however, remains elusive :cry2: Not sure how it is in other areas, but I have not seen a brick since last year. Thank goodness I still have a brick and a half left at home...

357Ssig is a sweet round for sure but still limited by bullet weight and shape due to it being a semi-auto round. Revolvers can use a wider variety of bullet shapes and weights due to it being a straight shot. I'm really thinking of adding a Sig P239 in 357sig to my carry rotation, its nice to have more than 5rds! :shocked:

Yup that's true. I agree though, having a semi for CWP is my preference. I was surprised at how much I like the 357sig round, even in a polymer gun.

Kinda funny, a snub nose revolver is very easy for me to carry AIWB, but when I carry OWB I bring along my Sig P229 in 9mm. My P229 with 17rds is a pretty heavy gun so I'm leaning towards the P239 to carry OWB or even IWB at 3:30-4:00. The P239 is a little slimmer and being a single stack will be lighter (duh).

If I'm gonna go fewer rounds I want a little more firepower, however bullet placement is EVERYTHING and I'd be fine with a .22lr. My wife works at a major medical hospital and has seen alot of people dropped with a .22lr and walk in with 9/40/45 bullets in them. People are strange creatures!

hey I forgot to post up my finished hi point. Unfortunately it took so long to cure that I need to do the frame again as I chipped it. Otherwise, it functioned flawlessly and I have to say that I can shoot better now with the white sights.

That's very true. I wish OWB was more conducive down here but it's usually too damn hot to wear an outer shirt or jacket. I may try it once I get to CO. IWB always feels awkward, even with smaller semis.

Nothing wrong with the basic, but I do prefer the ambi-safety and a competition trigger.

It looks like the Trophy Match, TRP, Custom, Loaded, Operator, and EMP all have it. I believe it's something you could add on your own too with some basic knowledge and tools.

Comp trigger usually has adjustable pull and reduced trigger bounce, which can be an issue in some models. And yeah, it looks badass. That's something else you can do on your own if you don't want to buy a higher end model.

Also, anyone with suggestions on available AR uppers in the $300 neighborhood? The ones I have on order are A3 middie flat-tops with 16" 1:9 twist chrome lined barrels.

I'm also looking for complete BCGs in the $150 range.

Preferably something with good quality and not a lot of bad press. :cowboy:
