Any of you AR guys have the Stark SE-1 grip or know anyone that does? The SE-2 is pictured below:

I've shot one with these grips. The palm swell feels good but not a big fan of the ridge below your trigger finger and how much lower your hand sits on the rifle. Honestly, the only people I know running this grip are folks who have broken one of the trigger guard tabs.

These are generally referred to as the "Grip of Shame." Mostly used by people that broke the ears off their lower receiver trying to install a trigger guard.

Finally got time to take my AR15 to the range and get the rifle zeroed. By the 7th shot I was in the silhouette at 27 yards with a 1/2 inch grouping. Not too bad for bench unsupported shooting. This is using iron sights too.

Nice shooting!!! Makes for a fun day at the range when you don't have to spend a lot of time sighting in!

I took probably about 1 hour shooting 20 rounds or so. I like to take my time when sighting in so I can go slow and pay attention to my shooting. I also spent a bit of time between adjustments bs'ing with the range safeties.

I put the target out to 100 yards afterwards and had about a 7-8 inch group. Not very good in my opinion but I was shooting cheap wolf ammo at that point and once again was shooting unsupported on a bench. I did manage to hit the target with my XD-9 at 100 yards one out of every 3 shots but don't ask me what my shot groups were.

I'd say that is pretty good shooting with irons. I can get pretty good groups with my red-dot but when using irons I'm happy to keep it on the plate.

I just bought a Geissele SSA-E Trigger and let me tell you, it is sweet! 2-stage with a total 3.5lb pull, my groups should get much better. The factory Mil-spec trigger is heavy and I can see the movement as I was pulling the trigger. I'll report back my results when I get back from the range next weekend.

Great choice!! You'll see your groups improve almost immediately if you're coming from a mil-spec trigger. Just be careful...once you start shooting with them, you'll want them in all your rifles. Ask me how I know. HA

Pistol lower for the time being. I'm building the lower tonight. Was a PSA lower I got a couple weeks ago with 10 pmags and a stripped lower for $169.99. I'm using the Phase 5 buffer assembly. Trying to figure out which rail I'm going to go with. I bought the upper with the extended tac rail made by Samson, but not sure if it will stay on there or not. Also looking at the Midwest Industries SS rail.

Should be delivered this week.

My friend just snatched up the latest deal for a complete carbine upper with bcg for $409.

Ha, nothing like buying a new toy while waiting for parts to come in. Did you already order your middy upper or are you just waiting for a deal on them to come around?

I ordered uppers, lowers, BCGs, charging handles, and some mags back in January, and was told 3-4 months. I received the lowers and handles sooner than expected but the last time I called I was told Sept or so for the uppers and BCgs and this is the 4th time it's been pushed out.

So if I catch the right PSA deal I'll just order from them and cancel what remains from my DSA order. I haven't been staying on top of it like I probably should have.

The indoor range I go to is Trigger Time in Flowery Branch. I recently joined Elbert County Gun club which has a 400yd rifle range among other shooting stations i.e pistol, rimfire, archery skeet and sporting clays. Very cool place. If you ever want to meet up and go, guests are more than welcome!

Say hello to my little friends.

I picked up these two new additions to my collection. A Beretta M9 and and a vintage Browning model 1955. What can I say...I really like them a lot! The Browning is circa 1966 and fires like a dream for its size. Nice pocket pistol. The Beretta is very accurate and reliable.

I know what you mean. I'm building something a little more target oriented and I may go with a Geissle NM trigger for it, but I want to see how the SSA-E does. BTW the SSA-E is on my 10.5" with 762-SDN-6.

The Geissele NM's are really really nice. I just wish they offered a flat trigger version. Hopefully I'll be able to hit a range in GA when I visit this Oct to experience SBR goodness.
