The reports that I've read and the videos that I've seen show that you can shoot it on the off shoulder without getting hit in the face with the brass. From what I've seen, it seems to be a bullpup done right. The trigger apparently isn't great, but both Timney and Geissele are working on trigger packs for it. It will likely never have as good a trigger as an AR15 with a match trigger, but I think it will be good enough.
I'm hoping to use it as a home defense rifle. The short overall length will make it very handy for navigating hallways, and yet it still has a 16.5" barrel for superior ballistics to a 10.5 or 14.5" AR15, and likely has less muzzle blast as well.
I have a 10.5" AR and that short barrel is damn loud and throws a nice fireball to boot! Much louder than my 14.5" or 16". I'm just over 7months waiting on my AAC 762-SDN-6 and that will be on the 10.5" as my bedside rifle. No way do I want to fire that thing indoors with no can,

Yup. Unfortunately, I live in MA and we can't have a can. I'd put one on the Tavor if I could.

I spoke to DSA today since I saw a smaller charge hit my card. The BCGs are on the way. I asked about the uppers and he said, oh you have another 4 or 5 months... we're still filling December orders. :wow:
If someone is looking to buy a couple of AR lowers, let me know. They both are brand new, have Hogue grips, and the Magpul trigger guard.

Sorry no experience with these specifically but the Arsenals I've seen have been really nice. I am curious as to how you narrowed it down to these two rifles. Are you collecting, looking for something different or are these more reliable? I'm starting to research AK's so I'd like to get your take.
Hopefully you already cancelled your order. that is total crap. I forgot, what specs were these uppers?

Nothing special... forged flat top receiver, parkerized chome moly midlength barrel with 1:9 twist, m4 feed ramps, front sight, and standard handguards. The only thing special was the price ($290 each).
I'm watching PSA like a hawk to get a pair of their midlengths the next time they have a deal. I'll cancel DSA once I order. Or if they have full rifles for sale, I'll just order two of those and sell the lowers. Tired of having all these goodies sitting around my office in boxes.

Ahh...I can see why it's backordered. If you know someone in CO that can put it together, i did a quick search and built one with similar specs for $263 + shipping. all you'll need is to have someone pin your fsb. Might come out to be a a little more like $300 but at least you can have it now. Just a thought.

HAHA...I knew you would notice that. Found a decent amount of 45 brass laying around on Monday. Looks like you had a good time.
Well if it does pan out, we can block off the entrance and post a few armed guards nearby.

ha ha, put close to 300 .45's down range through the 1911 that day
must have missed a bunch of brass on the way out, i thought i got all of it, dammit!
drop me a message the next time you head out, i got lucky and found bulk packs of .45 at wallmart and still need tons more pistol practice!

I considered building it myself but I didn't want to bite off more than I could chew the first time. I'm better at learning from disassembly. Is it as straightforward as it seems?
