Got the Burris FastFire II installed over the weekend. It took a little getting used too. When I would naturally hold the gun I could not see the dot, I had to point the barrel down which meant that I was holding high, duh. But once I got it sighted in I had some decent groups at 25yds. My 22/45 still has the stock trigger and its kinda funny how much my hands shake when holding trying to shoot a tight group. The dot was shaking quite a bit. Trigger job will be next.

That looks sweet!! I had a similar issue with the 22/45 because of the grip angle but I found that if I bring the gun up to my eye line sooner and push out when I come up to the target, I was able to find the dot faster.

It's funny...once you get used to a good trigger, factory triggers just don't cut it.

I called this morning and they claimed to have sent the right items. I have the item numbers and notes from my original orders and they were definitely the midlength uppers. They told me they haven't had midlengths all year and wont until next march! I asked if they changed my order to carbine and he couldn't say.

Well, I guess you can say I've placed my last order with DSA.

you've had a lot of issues with them.

ive only had the one transaction, and they DID end up messing it up. but, their customer service, and the way they handled the situation was great.
I will buy from them again.

I tried to be patient... I've been more patient than even I expected. They did offer to have me return them for a refund and place another order (and wait until March or so) but I'm not going to sit around for another 4-5 months with just lowers. Plus they've lost my trust by changing the order without asking or communicating. Had I known it would end like this I would have just order from PSA months ago.

Delays are one thing. Underhandedness is completely different in my book.

Looks like the PT-92 in 40... if so, I have the PT-92. It's a solid gun and eats anything I throw at it. I think I paid closer to $650 or so retail back when I originally got it.

My dad has one similar, a PT945 chambered in .45 and with a full slide versus the cutaway. Can't pry it out of his hands. He loves it. I've shot it a couple times while he's had his back turned. Does that help?

Yeah, i'm still technically an NJ resident (student in PA) but next year I'll hopefully have a job in DC and live in VA where the laws are reasonable. It's impossible for me to get a pistol permit as of now. I've been waiting a year and some change but I may refile for it. The Taurus looks like the beretta 92fs which I've shot and I love but for a little less coin and it's 'murican made

I should add this about that 2-tone though... the slide and barrel are a matte stainless finish but the frame is plated chrome(?). It didn't bother me when I first bought it but for some reason it irks the crap out of me now. I was going to send it off to get refinished but haven't gotten around to it.

Weird, according to Bud's this one is stainless. Maybe it was a different color scheme? :noidea: I love that machined finish/black combo

I think their description might be inaccurate. If you look at the picture you can kind of see the variation between the slide and frame. This one is a little clearer

i feel like the frame mounted safety is probably easier to access but thats not a huge deal. Maybe it is worth it, i'd just have to find it in NJ. Or wait till I move in May... Either way i have time ot think about it. No guns on a college campus in Philly (though I live off campus I would have to drive through campus), no handguns in Philly and no "weapons" according to my lease.
