I have a Professional on order right now.

I have thought about it, but considering my local dealer pretty much always has the exact model I want in stock, I didn't see the need to order one. He keeps about 2 or 3 Wilson's on hand at all times. Most of the time a CQB is one of them on the shelf. They also have one for rent on their range, I haven't shot it yet, mostly because I'm afraid for my credit card.

Look at the options on their web site, you can specify what color you want it (armor tuff now comes in 3 fashionable varieties), night sights, delete front cocking serrations, delete roll marks, add checkering whereever you want, melt/dehorn for carry, specify what kind of trigger, safety, sights, barrel, guide rod, recoil spring...

I'm of the mindset when I pay 3-3.5k for a gun, it should be exactly the way I want it.

I took a break from competing (last match was July 2012 @ 3MR) but plan to get back into it this year. I have 2 Dillon 1050s which have been sitting new in their unopened boxes for the past 2 years, 22k .40 bullets, 15k 9mm bullet and 8k .45 bullets I need to get loaded...

I plan to get back into multigun and steel plate matches this coming season but first need to get a few new Taccom shotshell holders from Jeremy Moore

Iam going to get my M2's load port opened up after the holidays. Then master some load2 then quad. I'll go irons this year. Till I can afford the latest 1-10000 zoom, red dot, laser, ballistic scope

Where do you live in the metroplex? A few of us have steel match very month at proactive defense /quail creek. It's more fun than pure competition. We figure enough of the other matches are competitive it's nice to mess around. We have had good new shooter turn out which is good. I hope some of them branch out to other ranges.

That's a tough act to follow, but how about a little bit of ghosts of firearms past.

Some S&W M&P and Glock 34 love. Neither platform worked out for me, but they were sexy looking guns.

Plastic guns flex violently when you shoot them.

Putting on a light on the accessory rail can interfere with that flex and cause malfunctions.

I have a 12 gauge Benelli Super Black Eagle II for ducks, geese, pheasant and clay pigeons. I want a Pattern Master choke for it :hunter:

I also have a Smith and Wesson M&P .40 S&W. Nothing fancy on it, although I want a Surefire flashlight for it after seeing one up a few posts. I have a Blackhawk CQC holster for it, too.

No pictures of either of them, but they aren't anything fancy compared to the guns in this thread.

Why didn't you like them?

The M&P had a very sloppy fitment of the barrel to the slide resulting in poor accuracy. The trigger had no reset point that could be felt, and it was very gritty feeling. The Glock doesn't fit my hands well.

I switched to HK and haven't looked back.

Certain plastic guns have had issues with lights causing malfunctions. The .40 Glocks come to mind. However I never experienced any with either of my 3 Glocks, my 2 M&P's or my 2 HK's. I'd say I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 4000 rounds through various pistols using a weapon light without issue.

I want to order one of these for my HK. The Inforce APL. Normally I'm a Surefire only guy, but the Inforce has gotten rave reviews and is much more compact than the Surefire X300. Raven Concealment makes a holster for this combo as well.

I'm in Lewisville; I've done one steel match at Proactive Defense/QC with Paul McCoy

unfortunately Jerry McKinley's poor health caught up to him; I miss his American Speed Plates matches in Ladonia, but I've been meaning to get back to the Real Steel and Metal Mania monthly matches @ DPC in Carrollton to brush up for multigun...

First time shooting a Glock 19 Gen 4 at 10 Yards. Still trying to decide the gun I want to get, so accuracy wasn't the main priority. I was really just trying to get a feel for the gun itself and how it fit my hands while shooting.

Ammo was issued by the range, so I don't recall what the loads were.

The M&P trigger is easily fixed with drop in kits fro Apex Tactical. The kits improve both trigger feel and reset.

I'm aware of them. So you take a $500 gun, put in a $90 apex kit, and then have a fitted barrel installed to correct the accuracy problem for $250. Or you can just buy a P30 for $900 and be done with it. After a few years of wandering blind I have seen the light.

I wanted to like the M&P I really did. But I feel S&W took a good idea and dropped the ball with it.

What is your take on 47Ds in Colts? I prefer CMCs, I've never had feeding issues with CMCs and it's damn hard to insert a fully loaded 8 round WC mag with the slide forward.

I even use CMCs in my CQB (I know, blasphemy).

How long ago was this issue with the M&P? My 357C has been quite accurate out of the box. I may swap the trigger eventually but I've learned to work with what they give you.

Both of mine were mid 2012 test fire dates. From the research I have done, it seems to be only the full size 9mm with accuracy issues.

The fit between the barrel and the slide was so loose on one, you could make it rattle when you shook the slide when it was pulled off the frame. I'd say it had a few millimeters of play in a circular motion. The pistol struggled to stay on a 12"x 12" target at 25 yards no matter who was shooting it. While I'm no bullseye shooter, I have had a lot of pistol training, have competed in steel shoots and am shooting pretty much weekly.

Storm lake makes oversized barrels for them that need to be hand fit to the slide to correct the issue, but it's not cheap. S&W doesn't seem to care to fix the issue either. They sent me a new slide that was just as bad.

In comparison with my HK P30 and Glock 34 I can put 10 rounds inside a 6" birch wood Casey shoot n see target at 25 yards. The HK barrel locks up as tight as a drum and from what I've seen reported, it's probably the most accurate out of the box duty pistol on the market.

In the end I didn't feel like spending an extra $400 to get the M&P where I wanted it so I went with the HK.

Oddly enough I had a much harder time getting mags for the M&P as well. While people always seem to say HK mags are expensive and hard to find, I called up HK USA and ordered 5 mags direct for $35 each. I had seen them online as high as $60 each and they were out if stock. Most people forget to call the manufacturer first for mags and parts. Also unlike Glock, you don't have to be an armorer to order parts direct with HK.

Probably a while. My local Walmart has 6920 rifles for $1000 in stock.
