I've already got two. The second bigger than the first. I don't think Secretary of Finance would appreciate me appropriating funds for a third.
I have collected firearms for many years, and have an FFL. I have owned and sold many nice guns in my life. A few I have regretted, but they were sold to aquire other guns. The guns I sold always went to aquire others that were on my radar at the time, so I never really felt bad about selling them. There are a few that I would really like to have back, but nothing thats irreplaceable (just a lot more expensive to replace now).
I have found that my taste for guns has changed over the years also. What I thought was a "got to own this" gun when I was in my 20s doesnt seem so great now. I find myself drawn more and more to the rare or classic designs. I'm buying guns that will be irreplaceable soon, or designs that I really enjoy. (Daewoo rifles, K31 Swiss, M1A, for instance). I don't pay much attention to what the new whiz-bang gadget or gun is anymore. Had I chose the "never sell a gun" theory, I would be stuck with a lot of guns I no longer enjoy shooting and would have missed out on some of the classics I have now.

Yeah the 300winmag was dormant while I was shooting, lol. And I was popping steel at 200 yards compared to his 800.

A couple new pieces of glass. The Schmidt & Bender PMII 3-20x50 will go on the PredatObr 7.62 and the US Optics 1.8-10x37 will go on the Wilson Combat 6.8. Still waiting on the mounts to arrive.

I have a Schmiddt and Bender scope on my 6940... it is very well made and crisp.
Also cost twice what the damn rifle did.

The wife said I could have a S&B scope or a semi-custom 1911.
I bought the scope. I'm pretty much maxed out on guns for at least a year, if not more.
...ammo is OK.

Carry gun- S&W Bodyguard 380, zombie ammo, desantis pocket holster
Nightstand gun- EAA Windicator .38 special, all black, no bullsh*t, ready to rock and roll
Plinker- Walther P22 stock as a rock, picky with cycling certain ammo
Next purchase (after lifting the T4R of course) will be a black 1911 with stainless skeletonized trigger and hammer, or I might start a Spike's Tactical rifle build so I can have an AR chambered in .308 win.
I've always liked the idea of an AR chambered in 9mm luger too, anyone play with those on the reg?

Hahaha, I hear that! The scope mount costs as much as my Colt AR did. The clarity of the S&B is pretty amazing.:thumb:

Mrs. M1911 and I have a deal. She doesn't count the number of guns in the safes and I don't count the pairs of shoes in her closet.
But I haven't gotten around to buying much glass yet.

i have a basic gov't size 1911. kimber custom II. it has been my cc/daily carry for about 3 years. i like the ergonomics a lot. it's plenty accurate.
the biggest drawback, imo, is the .43 to .47 cents per round, but i can deal with it.
the red and gray squirrels that make a mess in my sugar house make good target practice while boiling.
i'm not particularly large, but i have no difficulty wearing it/concealed. it's comfortable enough that i don't notice it.

Get a progressive press and start reloading (provided you can find powder and primers, which are scarce at the moment).
