first off, the piece that catches the barrel snapped and it was having ejector issues.. I sent it back to Remington and they fixed it..

now, my whole barrel assembly flew off.. I kid you not, my mate threw some bird shots in there and after the second shot, the whole barrel flew off the receiver. We then picked up all the parts and put everything back together.. torque the mag extension back on to the receiver and tighten the barrel clamp.. first shot, it happened again!!!!

I'm waiting an reply from Remington to see what to do with it..

once i save enough money, i'm going to replacing it with an M2.. how can i defend my house when my whole barrel flew out..

my mate's Asian clone of the 870 did better than mine..

hahah thanks, had the saiga for a while, just never did any fun stuff to it. Couldn't get a pistol forever as an NJ resident, but have my CCW now in VA

Randomly I just got my certification class done this past Saturday. I've just been using the open carry option NC has. Me and some buddies went to an open sign in class at a local town on a whim. Now I just have to take 90 bucks to the sheriffs office and get finger printed, then wait for it to come in.

Anyone have thoughts on/experience with AR polymer UPPERS?

Was considering this for my first AR

I've worked on poly upper rifles before. Not a fan. If your intent is the occasional plinking with low round count it should be fine, but definitely not something I would trust my life with in a home defense situation. You find most of the failures happen where the receiver meets the barrel/barrel nut after a moderate amount of rounds.

If you don't want to move to the $900+ range (Colt, BCM), your best bet, is the S&W M&P Sport 15 for $559 - Smith and Wesson M&P 15 Sport 811036 Rifle 5.56 NATO 16 inch 30rd Black Online Gun Store

I've worked on a few M&P's and WW's and from my experience, between the two, you get a better quality rifle with M&P.

i have a winchester model 94 30-30 in near mint condition. Was my step fathers that he passed down to me. Probably my favorite rifle.
