how can barrel wear be caused by the CASE? that would be a projectile issue.
chamber, and extractor wear I can see being possible, but barrel? not seeing it.

Commie ammo is steel case, often with lacquer, and the jacket is a mix of steel and copper.
Steel case is a misnomer, or at least an inadequate descriptor.

Unfortunately I don't. It was "throwback" because I recently took it apart to rebuild it - there are a few things I want to do differently.
yeah the hoplophobia is getting out of hand in this country.

What do you think about that quick adjust lever, seeing that you have one? Mine is hard to turn by hand using the rings and I'm thinking about getting one.

They work perfectly. My 4-16x was really difficult to turn by hand but with the lever you can easily turn the ring with your fingers or the heel of your palm. I run them on all my scopes now.

Right now Darkie gonna start with an easy one have a armalite def15 coming , doing some cosmetics to it as some call it , to see how it goes ? Then with some guidance from you guys might try to build up one . When I was n the war way back when shot M-14s & 16s were still iffy so I'm liking these to me new ARs . [MENTION=73750]Dusty Driftwood[/MENTION] has really good posts on his drawers n 4th gens . Can't wait to go shoot up some desert !!

If you're curious, the above rifle has a mostly stock Colt lower parts kit except for a Geissele SSA trigger, Magpul grip and trigger guard, and B5 SOPMOD stock.
Upper half is a BCM 14.5" with A2 pinned, MI keymod, BCM upper and bolt carrier.

Can you guys give me a quick explanation on the difference between the 2 ? Have an idea but just need some reasons for each . Having used a scope in the past for deer hunting , seems like the reflex is more ? Thanks

Reflex sights are 1x (but you can buy a magnifier for them).
Scopes have magnification--but many "battle" variants go to 1x.
The reason for a reflex sight is the huge field of view they give.
If you do all your shooting at less than 100 yards, get an Aimpoint PRO or a Vortex PST.
I'd get the Vortex.

That's what I suspected on with the duality of these & how easy it is to change them out , I think I'll probably get a good aimpoint & a reasonable priced scope good idea ?

so this past weekend.. i cycle some steel case .223 through mine and it worked pretty damn good.. no cycle issues..
on other things though.. i felt in love with my mate's 1100 and now i want to pick up some new toys.. i'm looking for an semi auto shotgun in $1000-$1300 range.. and an bolt gun under $1k..
any recommendation ?

You can't go wrong with aimpoint. There is a wide assortment of variable scopes. What's your budget?
As for mounts, a good QD mount will allow you to swap optics quickly. Larue, American Defense and Bobro come to mind.
With that budget for a shotgun, my vote is for the benelli m2. Also look at the Beretta 1301, Versamax or FN SLP.
As for the bolt gun..is $1k your budget for rifle and optic? you can get a remingtion 700 sps tactical for $620 + tax and leave you about $300 for scope, rings and base.
Long distance shooting isn't something you want to skimp on to be honest. without good glass, you won't realize the rifle's true potential.

$1k for just the gun.. i have about some $$ set aside for the glass.
I have been looking at the m2.. but haven't got a chance to try it on the fields yet..
darkie, does the m2 have a lot of accessories to go with it? cause I'm thinking about getting the pistol grip and an side saddle for it.
