9mm RAMI

Cz75 compact and rami are both good guns. Not sure if the rami got their feed ramp issue fixed. I bought it 2 yrs ago and tinker with it quite a bit. Reliable now and accurate.

Next purchase will be a czsp01.

Here is my 3" barrel rami 9mm up against my fs s&w mp9
Just the top two 5shot ea if I remember correctly.

i have 2 bcm uppers and I'm happy with both of it.

for $700 dollars, is hard to beat, especially when they run promo with it.

Why would you do that when you can buy or build an AR with said barrel, handguard, trigger, and gasblock?

I absolutely agree that he can build an AR with said parts for less money. Having built AR's in 300 blackout, 6.8 SPC II, .458 Socom and even maybe one or two in 5.56, it's a lot of fun and you get exactly what you're looking for. But since he asked a vague question of :

I gave a suggestion of what is, IMO, a good "out of the box" AR. Sure, there are other choices out there that will probably serve him just as well for less money. With a Colt LE 6920 he'll get a good quality weapon right out of the box. In time, if he chooses, he can change out the parts as funds allow. If he decides to sell, it'll hold its value better than the most of the cheaper choices or the frankenbuilds.

The earlier rami were known for their ftf with certain hollowpoints. It was a pretty common complaint, looks like it is fixed if yours is flawless. I sent mine in twice, the owner before me sent it once. I gave up and cut the feed ramp at a better angle and polish the hell out of it. Also adjusted my magazine lip. No issue since.

I use the LEO spec Federal JHP ammo (white box of 50) for my carry 9's.

But I've fed it Gold Dots, PDX, and the Magtech stuff without a problem.

I'm not sure if they were using NATO spec feed ramps that are essentially like the old W German sigs that aren't ramped or throated to take JHPs.

Hollowpoints tend to be an American thing, and guns not made for the American market seem to always have issues with them.

New gun day! Picked up this S&W MP15 Tactical with soft case, 5 extra mags and 150rds for a grand. Couldn't find anything on armslist local that could compete.

I'm happy with the price, I know I could have built cheaper but I'm new the the platform so I'm sure I'll build the next one.

I'm a large man and I mount mine on the far edge of the upper, but off of the handguard.

i know this is a gun thread, but how many of you also do archery? hunt, target, whatever?

im a bow hunter, have been since I was 12. I tried rifle again last year, with a specific area in mind. but was skunked. it was terrible. back to archery for this year.


I recently got a new bow.

a Hoyt carbon turbo.

it is quite the upgrade over my last new hoyt, that I got in the early to mid 90's haha.

I go out during the Archery season. I have not in a while due to I like to go out with my buddies most have moved away or whatever.

I have an old school Matthews MQ1.. and a summit stand I like em both - it shoots- it keeps me in the tree.. I was thinking about getting a new bow NEXT season...

Both my kids and I use Matthews kit , we are in Maui right now . Sunday we go on a feral hog hunt.

When we return we leave for Yuma Az to shoot some doves, can't call it hunting since you just stand there and hope a bird flies in range.

I've always thought this would make a great pairing with an FN PS90 or AR-57. I almost picked up the AR57 upper several times, although that was before the AR fad really kicked off. The cost and limited availability of ammunition always made me think twice about it. No matter how cool the gun, if you can't find affordable ammo to shot it regularly it just becomes a safe/drawer queen.

20+1 in the mag. Gotta love high capacity armor piercing rounds.
Check around - the availability of 5.7x28 is a lot better than it used to be, and the price has really dropped. For a pistol this big the Alien Gear holster makes it a comfortable CCW. The light weight of the frame doesn't hurt either.
