Oh, and before someone brings it up....I bought that Hi-Point for $250 (with a bunch of ammo and the optic mounted) from a friend who was moving to NY and couldn't take it with him. It's a .40, which is what my pistols are, so I already stock ammo for it. It's honestly a hell of a lot of fun to shoot, but I don't think I'd trust it with my life. I mainly threw it in the picture for scale.

You're probably going to find that optic and mount too low, or feel like you're mashing your face into the cheek weld in order to maintain a good sight picture.
I went through 4 different combos before I found one high enough that provided a good natural sight picture when brought up to my shoulder. Turns out the Vortex Sparc wearing the included high mount + small base plate is the perfect height.
Depending on what optics you've got available, it might make more sense for you to get the midwest tavor rail.
Right?
When I had it out hog hunting, I instantly fell in love with how easy it was to get in and out of the gator with.

Compact frame with TLR3, wearing 5" Pro CORE slide.
We were curious if it would fit, and it did. Even hand cycled rounds perfectly, and dry fired as it should. Don't know if I'd try shooting it.

Look at the Griffin Optimus. A few different ways to mount, including 3 lug, and does everything from .22 to 300 win mag.

I really like it. Shot it next to a guy with an octane 9 and you couldn't tell a difference. Bought it specifically for my mp5 and CZ Scorpion. Lightweight, minimal POI shift and paired with a Griffin Armament 3-lug adapter, it'll be a perfect package for them.

Popped upwards of 700 primers tonight while catching up on the DVR a little. If my wrist can move in a couple days I'll finish the remaining 300-400 of the batch. Too bad that's just the 9mm, I don't want to think about all the 223 and 30-06 I have to do yet!

Got this last week. Bought it off the internet.
338 Edge. Savage single shot action. McGowan 28" barrel + brake. Richards Microfit stock. Not crazy about that stock. Having it put into a benchrest stock for long range target shooting.

"ATF’s sudden and unexpected change in policy on wetted nitrocellulose will likely have a significant impact on industry’s ability to deliver products to the military and commercial markets. Industry members have relied on the exemption for wetted nitrocellulose for many years and are aware of no accidental detonations or diversion of this product into illicit channels. Consequently, it is unclear why ATF believed it necessary to change its policy and, more importantly, why ATF announced the change in a newsletter article with no advance notice to industry."

Yet another solution to a problem that did not exist.
Company's will now have to apply for an explosive license, store components in magazines, introduce record keeping, and it will limit how much you can transport at a given time.
1. This will bring deliveries of components to a screeching halt
2. It will introduce storage limitations which will require millions of dollars in mag bunkers having to be built instead of housing in a warehouse. The sheer volume of this makes me cringe.
3. There was no warning given for compliance...is this even legal ?
4. There is a mention of getting a variance, but I do not think they would grant these for the entirety of the regulation.
By changing their ruling, I do not think they are trying to stop shipments, but create a revenue stream for more govt money. Everyone who touches said items will have to get an explosive license. ATF agents will roll in for inspections of your explosives wearing a gun on his hip and fines will be handed out for any reason.
The huge numbers alone will automatically guarantee fines for record keeping mistakes. They would be able to put a company out of business overnight from fines.
This affects every shooter- even military and LE agencies, not just small demographics, so hopefully some folks wake up to the intrusiveness of these alphabet agencies dictating from their desks.
It will be interesting to see how ammo manufacturers respond to this.
