aha, congratulations on the new Glock. I'm a huge fan of Garret Industries kydex holsters. I've used various types of holsters made from leather, suede, cordura and neoprene. Although not as comfortable as those flexible materials, the Garret Industries kydex holsters keep their shape after the pistol is drawn making reholstering much easier. Because they're form fitted to your exact pistol, the fit is perfect, compact and still comfortable for EDC. They're lined with premium leather for a smooth draw and reduced wear. Tension screws can be adjusted for retention. I don't use retention straps but they do offer them if its something you prefer.

thanks Dawg4runner, I haven't looked at those at all! definitely seems like a good option. Biggest thing I'm seeing in differences in the options of IWB holsters are A.) like you mentioned re-holstering ability and B.) comfort level without wearing an undershirt.
How comfortable would you rate these holsters, do you consistently wear a tshirt tucked and then an over shirt or is it fine against bear skin and light clothing. Whats your thoughts there.

Nice to see a fellow P2000SK enthusiast. Been my carry for about 3 years now. Just started breaking in my new Crossbreed QuikClip for the alternate carry CZ 75 COMPACT D PCR today and there's just a little size difference. Probably going to end up with P2000SK as summer carry and the CZ for rest of the year when cooler and easier to wear more layers.

If I were to rate a neoprene or padded cordura holster as most comfortable, leather would be right behind it and kydex just after leather. Now add in the sweat factor, things can change a bit. Fabric and leather can retain moisture like a sponge when you start sweating. Kydex will not. Leather and fabric will give, kydex won't. I've had no issues with it against bare skin and typically have my t-shirt on the outside. My biggest issue with discomfort actually didn't involve the holster but the grip on the pistol. The OEM grip that came with the Sig was very aggressive. Once I swapped it out for a VZ carbon fiber grip the problem was solved. Take a look at the Silent Fusion Thunder holster. It has a suede lining where it comes in contact with your body. It's supposed to be their most comfortable IWB.

Thanks! The P2000SK's are fine shooting pistols. I liked the 9mm so much that I returned the next day and got the 40. Couple things I did change was the mag release and the trigger pull. I replaced the OEM mag release with a larger one and converted the V3 trigger pull to the V1 light trigger pull. All HK factory parts. Those simple mods made a world of difference.

After looking at all the reviews I decided to give the Silent thunder GT a solid run. After thinking about it, I wont be wearing the thing 24-7 an it will fit nicely in a pack for hiking an such. Seems to be a good versatile concealable holster.

Just got back from a 2-day precision rifle clinic at Rock Lake Shooting range in St. John, WA sponsored by H&H precision, Killer Innovation/Mega Arms and In-Motion Targets which included targets out to 1400 yards and head shots on 66% IPSC movers at 400 yards.
All rifles at the clinic were built by Ken Hagen at H&H Precision and sitting in Mega Arms Orias Chassis's.
Just after my last shot on the 1400 yard target.

Is that a .22 or .30 cal can?
