Good choices.
I ran the PST for a while, it's a nice scope with a killer warranty if you need it. I then swapped it for an Elcan. I run the H1 on my
10.5 SBR.

ran a similar setup for my first 3-gun match (1-4x pst with a 14.5" barrel).
Ended up building a complete rifle once i got hooked.

They are not expensive. I placed a couple of ads online, looking for a sporter bare action (one that had the ears removed properly. I did not want to cut up an original). I figured it would take a few months to find one. Within a day, I had offers on 3 complete rifles. Two 1917s and a Remington Model 30 Express (the factory built sporter). They were priced right. I was weak. I bought all three. I had them sent to a local gun shop. When I was picking up the second, I also looked at the consignment rack. It had the .264 with a Hall barrel, 2 boxes of factory ammo, 20 pieces of once fired brass, and a set of reloading dies. It was 600 bucks, but I couldn't build one like it for the same price. So now I have three 1917s. One has the original 30-06 barrel, the .264, and a custom in 338-378KT. It has an Ed LaPour 3-position safety, Canjar set trigger, stainless match grade barrel, and of course the action work to take that big Weatherby cartridge. That one was 400 bucks with dies.
The Model 30 Express is chambered in 35 Whelen.

Correct....no interest is actually using one for it's intrinsic features compared to what is available today. Not even close....but if that original rifle was available...would be worth breaking out on all of my kids and grandkids to shoot their first deer. Then put it away and take the new Stainless/Synthetic out and kill the rest of them. The value/benefit is Heirloom...not dollars.

Sure wish I hadn't seen that.....
Do the old Tandemkross parts fit that also? Is that a "LITE" model also or standard weight? Did you also put a Volq. sear in it?

I think some are transferable but a few items are version specific. At least that's how it's organized on their site.
It's the tactical version so it's a little heavier than yours. I got this one at cost so i was willing to deal with the weight.
That's next on the list.

Well, I decided to (technically, given permission to) get a new gun, decided to take advantage of S&W rebates and bought a Bodyguard .380 from PSA. $236 shipped with a $50 mail in rebate, my FFL is $25 , so $211 in total. I look at it as only a couple hours of OT.
Never played with a .380, smaller than my G43, expect it to be snappy'er, we'll see.
Thinking summer, pocket/appendix carry maybe, once I get a couple hundred rounds through it.

Expect a really terrible trigger but recoil isn't much snappier than a 9mm. Trigger pull is really long and soft. I do like them though...especially for $211!

Well took the Bodyguard out today , I like it. It's so lite and thin. Obviously it's only 6+1 and my pinky doesn't fit on it so that takes some getting used to but it's easy to shoot. Not near as snappy as I was expecting and the trigger not as long and heavy I've read about. Although I kept expecting to hear it reset like on my Glock, it never did.
Put 125 assorted rounds though it, had 2 FTFs with the Tula. Will run another 100 + tomorrow, work on the double taps to COM on my targets.
Them to shop for some SD ammo and run another 100 of those. And find a holster for it. Open to recommendations for ammo and holsters???

Well went back out and out about 150 more rounds thought it Tula and Federal. Only had 1 FTF, again with the Tula, but I'll take the blame on this one, one handed support side and the last round. All in all happy with this purchase.
Almost all rounds where I wanted them to go, about 7-10 yards, double taps (controlled pairs) single handed strong side and support side also some slow and steady strings.
