The kimber is the micro 9.

Two schools. Original Kimbers = good. 2nd Gen Kimber not a gun fighters friend.

I don't know what the current issue offers. Take it out an shoot it. If it fails in 500 rounds something is wrong.

I would like to have won that pistol because I own an old Kimber 1911 which I love. Personally, I would love to have it but I had an 'income situation' due to a client calling it quits last Dec.. so...

You have to shoot it. That's the only way to know.

My kimber is of recent generation...did not run well out of the box.
I had to swap out the extractor and change out the magazines before it ran 100%
-wilson bullet proof extractor
-tripp cobra mags

Thanks, and Jin. I've read some people in this thread that talk about problems. I think I'd need to get the extended mag since it's so short. I don't have a lot of guns and don't carry. I have an XD mod2 4" that I really like. I've had thoughts of putting this towards an XD in 5" size, but we'll see how this one works first. The Kimber does look like a nice piece.

Putting together a clone-ish Mk18 CQBR build. Skipped on the KAC sights and replaced with Troy BUIS in FDE. Decided not to go with the Surefire mount since I have an AAC M4-2000 suppressor I can use on it. Going to have to wait for another year before my tax stamp comes back before I can put a SOPMOD stock on it.

I like the two-tone. I was expecting her to favor one of the more girly color schemes but she surprised me when she said this was the one she liked. Has the Truglo night sights as well.

Completed the Mk18 inspired build. OAL is >26" so it's classified as a "Firearm" and not a pistol.
