Paragon?
Hey. I'm new here. I live in Pittsburgh and would love to find some trails. Where's/What's/When is Paragon? My SR5 is 2 months old and only seen my back yard. I want a little mud!
Cool. Found it @ http://www.paragonap.com/. I also checked out Keystone Krawlers Off-Road Club - Any body heard of them? Good/Bad?

As you can see from my sig file, I am a member of the Keystone Krawlers,
as well as the Maryland Creepers.
Both Paragon and Rausch Creek parks are pretty much on the opposite side of PA from you, but people come from much, much farther away than you to wheel them.
Both parks offer trails for from stock to highly modified trucks. There is some mud and plenty of trails, but the main focus is rockcrawling.

Off-road vehicles must be registered annually with DNR and display a registration sticker. Registration stickers are available from any DNR regional service center, and stickers and trail maps are available at the five state forests where ORV use is permitted.

What I'm trying to say is that you don't need a DNR sticker to drive your truck or car on those trails, as those trails are just a loop on the regular dirt roads of the forest. Since an ATV, golf cart, etc. does not have a license tag, it reqires the sticker, and can only be driven on the forest roads that make up the ORV trail.

so, are there any places around the pittsburgh area for some wheelin? like within an hour or so...a friend of mine has an FJ and wants to get it muddy!

There are a few spots around Pittsburgh, but not alot. Check out this web site www.pgh-offroad.com They have runs quite often and joining these is a good way to learn the trails. They dont like to publicly 'give away' good wheeling locations since many get shut down etc etc.
There are some trails around Connellsville, Creek Falls, Wellsville in OH....

Also check out www.meridianoffroad.com They do organised trail runs on some private land. There is one coming up in Bruin called the 2007 Outback Adventure Series.
