I spent the last day tracking down a nasty squeak in the rear of my Runner.
I got new 5150 shocks back on 8/10 and about 5 days later this nasty squeak started.
Naturally, I suspected the shocks since that was the new addition. But after 2 days of soaking with WD40 the squeak was still there. Yesterday I spent some more time underneath the Runner and narrowed it down to the upper shock mounts or something above the lower shock mounts.
I went to work with the WD40 on the upper shock mount, Upper Control Arms and all other bushings. The squeak was still there.
Then by chance I grabbed to Panhard bar to push/pull to make it squeak and damn, I could even feel the squeak. Turned out to be the upper end of the Panhard Bar making all the noise. So, a little WD40 will work temporarily but I need to find a tub of good grease for this.
For Poly squeaks I have a 8oz tub of Formula 5 Prelube from Energy Suspensions.
Any recommendations for a good type of grease for the Panhard bar that comes in small tubs.
