yep, JPN only option. Keep an eye out on ebay...although, I've only seen one go up for auction in the last 3-4 yrs.

I have one for my 1997 Japan-built, Brazil-bought, HiLux SW4--virtually identical to a base 4WD 4Runner without US doodads. The seat has been in a barn for several years as my youngest is now bigger than I am. It is only suitable for kids for both access and headroom reasons. I don't know about the aftermarket lines, but don't plan on putting anybody full-size back there. I'd sell it, but the shipping would be brutal....
