What is the oil capacity of a 2005 V8? I changed my oil yesterday, and 6 quarts registered a bit low on the stick. I know I could search, but I'm busy at work, so I was hoping for a quick and easy answer. Thanks.
6 qts should be close to the upper fill line. I would let it cool down overnight and then add a little to bring it up. It's better to be a little under the upper line than to overfill

Well, you said you had a V-8 - so this post is just FYI. My '05 V-6 takes 5.5 quarts (including changing the filter). When I use Mobil-1 synthetic, you can barely see it on the dipstick because it is so clean.
