Oil Change Question

I known that there is one thread discussed about oil change already, but I just want some opinion on this. This morning, I went to Russell Toyota on Route 40 West (MD) for an oil change in my 2005 4Runner SE (current mileages 5760 miles on the odo I got my first oil changed at 2950). Russell dealer is very nice great exprienced from the past. Anyways here is the story, I told the tech that i need to get an oil change and tires rotate. He walked around the truck, wrote down the vehicle number, mileages, and gave me a ticket to see services advisor. The Services Advisor asked me " Do you have any coupons?" so i gave him the oil packages that i bought from them (this package is really good deal, it's $199.99 for 8 yrs of oil changes, 4 times a year, total of 32 oil changes for 200 bucks.) The service advisor told me that i don't need to get an oil change today it's too soon, because the maintenance book is recommend every 5000 miles ( Base on the service advisor Russell is using Synthetic Blend oil). What do you guys think about this??? Should i wait for 5000 miles for just go to get it done every 3000 miles?

5000 should be fine. If you what to feel better about it or you really what to know for sure, get the oil analyzed (approx. $20).

If its for 4 times a year.. I'd get it 4 times a year. It'll depend on how many miles you drive too. Running it for 5000 miles won't pose a problem.
