Oil change ? & Revo pressure ?

On my 06 when should I do my 1st oil change ? It's a freebee from the dealer and they said at 5k mile's but I've alway's been one to change sooner. I have 1100 miles on , should I change it or let it go for a while ????

Revo ? What pressure are you all running ? I have the 265/70 series on ? I know it say's thing's on the side wall and door panel and manual ect... but what are you all having good luck with ? Just a reminder it is winter here in Wi.

I changed my oil at 1600 miles. The service tech guy looked at me all weird, saying I don't need an oil change till 5K. I'm paranoid I guess

I changed my oil at 2,000 miles with dyno oil. Then at 4,000 with Mobil 1 synthetic. And then at 10,000 with mobil 1 synthetic.

As for the Revos, I have them and have tried all PSIs.

32 gives the softest ride.

40 is too high as it is bouncy.

35 is a good medium.

That said, I use 36 to 38 psi. If it's cold, then I use 38. If it's hot, then I use 36.

after having 2 Motorsport BMW's (their first oil change is 1200 miles), I had mine changed early just cause i wanted all the crap out of there sooner than 5000 miles later.

I think i had mine changed at like 3000.

I followed a guide in an article (that I've looked for and can't remember where I found -- online) that talked about modern engines and how things have changed in terms of break-in etc. Anyway, very detailed info. It recommended a rather frequent (first change 500 miles and then every 1k miles) oil change interval for the first 12K. I didn't read the article until about 1500 miles. I changed then and stuck to changing about every month, until last change were I went 2,600 miles. At that point, about 12K, as suggested in the article, I switched to synthetic.

Good question re: Revos. I've run different pressures (left the shop on 42, lowered to 38 -- too rough, lowered to 36, still hard and rough, lowered to 34, better). In am currently running 32 and I think I like it best. I posted a good article about tire pressure (use search) and it convinced me to try lower pressure. I think I'm a believer now. From what I've read, at 32 with Revos in our vehicle, you'll get -- better ride, better traction, better tread wear.

For me, the lower the tire pressure the lower the gas mileage. I run my Revos at 38 mpg.
