oil drain plug gasket

anyone ever seen this, second oil change after 6months 3000 miles, using toyota oem gasket torqued to 30 ft lbs, when I removed plug the gasket had completely delaminated into 4 separate layers, luckily did not leak.

Toyota gasket from Toyota Parts Department or "Toyota" gasket from Amazon?
Be aware many sellers cary counterfeit OEM parts. Yes, even 1 dollar drain plug gaskets. Don't ask how I know. Just buy your parts from the dealer Parts Department.

I'd have to see pics to fully understand. Based on my washers, I'm having trouble understanding how this could happen.

There's a difference between "Genuine Toyota" from a Toyota dealership and "Replacement for Toyota" from anyone else. When I buy Toyota parts on Amazon I make sure they say Genuine Toyota and they are shipped from a dealership that you can find online. I've never had a problem buying that way.
