Oil drain screw leaking

I think the guy who did my last oil change (to the good purple stuff) cranked down on the drain bolt so hard that it created a "dent" where the bolt goes in. Now, the bolt is leaking about 4 or 5 drips a day. I know I could wait three months to change it again but the question is - HOW DO I STOP THIS LEAKING FOR GOOD? Is there a rubber washer to use instead of the steel one? I think that would do it but I don't know if it would melt the darn thing. THANKS!

you can put some high temp silicon around the bolt until you can change it out. since changing the bolt mean you have to drain the oil.

Or just deal with it and park the truck down the street so your drive way dont have oil spots hahaha.

The answer is yes, there are crush washers available to fix the leak. Depending on the vehicle application, it may be metal or hard rubber. Consult your dealers parts dept. or search some of the online vendors, I saw one dealer running a special for a 10-pack recently.

when this happened on my Accord I drained the oil and put some thread sealant on a fumotovalve. It doesn't leak anymore and the valve makes it easy to change the oil.

Here's a picture of it. No rubber washer. This was not a Toyota dealer shop doing the work. See how it looks almost concave under the bolt?

that happened on my old toyota and i just got an oversize drain plug and no more leak
