Oil Leak - Need Opinions

Hi, I have a small ENGINE oil leak, I got under there, looked at the oil pan, saw that oil is oozing near the rear where it meets the transmission bell housing uh oh, fears that it's a rear main seal leak, ok I removed the small access transmission plate there and it is totally DRY in there by the flywheel. SO, am I justified in concluding that it IS an oil pan leak? (Definitely not Valve Covers)...........thanks.
